Mountain View Motel

Simple, easy accommodations.

It needs updating badly. Everything is circa 1970s and showing its age, especially the bathroom. It smelled unpleadant. Weak water preasure, took forever to get hot water. Showering was difficult. The entry door wasn't sealed well. Just needs an overhaul.

Perfect location for our week in the area. Allowed us to have our dog with us.

Pillows could have been firmer.

There was black mold in the bathroom which triggered a huge asthma attack in one of the guests. It was also a tired room with stains on the sofa bed.

Friendly staff/owners

Owner was very friendly and followed up with us post check in to make sure everything was okay during our stay.

We did have to let the water run for a bit to get hot water to the room but that was a minor issue.

Not much...... wont go again.

Beds were uncomfortable. Room was in poor condition. Staff didn't make up room between nights. No ice machine. Extremely loud A/C

New ownership and effort to upgrade the rooms...room was on smaller size, but clean and comfortable. Motel did not offer ice machine, but the owner offered his own ice cube tray. He is looking to provide in near future.

Even with some comfort, better or new bed would be better and proper hotel towels.

The room had a small portable A/c unit in it and the owner didn't have it on when we arrived ... it was 82 degrees F at 16:30 hrs in the room and it got down to 78 by 23:00 when I asked the owner why the A/C wasn't on before we got there he said it costs money to run A/C ... the unit he lived in had A/C running when I got there and it was a hot day . the decor was very dated and the trim in the room was coming off ... the bathtub/shower had patches covering holes ... for what was charged it was way overpriced

We loved everything about our stay here! It was clean and cozy and all ready for us when we arrived! Comfy beds and extra pillows and blankets!!

The electric lock on the door felt secure and check-in was fast.

The bed was extremely uncomfortable, like sleeping on springs only, and cars zipping by on the road out front all through the night was impossible to sleep through.

The room is big and has three beds which meets my need.The room is clean and comfort.

There was no hot water at the night we staying, even though we understand it. But we would have preparation if the hotel noticed us earlier.

It was a nice spacious room and the beds were comfortable. Water pressure in shower not the best

Late at evening we have found that WiFi is not working.

It was a pleasant surprise with the suite and amenities within. Outside needed work but it was clean and had screened area for smoking and BBQs for guest use nice touch

We liked it and noted the site a bit behind in upkeep. Upon inquiring about this . Turns out it is under new ownership and they have a great plan to bring the rooms and site an overhaul. The roof was done then the rooms and exterior are next

New owner is very nice. Rooms were spotless.

I thought there were weeds in the shrubs and pulled them out. Turns out they were milkweeds and the owner was preserving them to support Monarch butterflies. I felt so foolish but the owner was very gracious about it.

It served its purpose of being somewhere to rest our heads as we were passing thru on our way to Ottawa.

The mattress did not fit the 'put up bed' base and was too soft.

Close to highway, clean, easy check-in, walking trail behind motel, comfortable beds, quiet even though right next to highway.

Needs to be updated ( new owner & in the process of renovating)

Room was a little small (but i did pick a room with only one double bed) but then very cozy, very clean, comfortable bed and best of all, right off the snowmobile trail.

Location was perfect. Close to Wilno and Barry's Bay. Room was spotless. Bed was solid and comfortable.
