    • The location was beautiful. Clean facilities

    • Special thanks to Shawn who was very welcoming and caring throughout my stay. All personnel was extremely helpful and warm, gave recommandations, super friendly and fun to chat with. I highly recommend the hostel :)

    Cons -

    • -
    • The rooms are on the small side which can be crowded when all beds are occupied. Also not clear of having or enforcing a sick policy, we got a roommate who was very sick and was coughing all night.
    • At the reception we were given a room code that didn’t work. We had a late check-in, and by the time we realised the code wasn’t working, the reception was already closed. We had to spend a long time resolving this issue over the phone. The rooms are very cramped — in one room, six strangers have to sleep in bunk beds that are connected to each other, which makes it uncomfortable. It feels almost like sharing one bed with people you don’t know.

I love everything, the location, the bed, the view, the service. Easy check in process, we love the cabin and the bed is very comfy. The kitchenette is a plus! We woke up with the best view of three sisters!

This place is really nice, all the common areas are super spacious and well laid out. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful.

Beautiful view, great lobby area for relaxing, and a convenient, well-equipped kitchen.

Great location. Amazing Mountain View’s. Kitchen really well equipped. The shared spaces are big with a lot of entertainment, piano, pool table and board games.

I booked 4 nights in a 4 bed bedroom with a month of advance. When I arrived I learned that my booking was changed to a 6 bed bedroom. They said that was a mistake on booking.com and there’s no availability. The only option was to spend every night in a different room to be in a 4 bed. Even though the staff was really friendly and tried to help, it was frustrating because that’s not what I booked. I would recommend it anyway because it is a great place, but hopefully they get a better system.

Good space. Chalet in nature, good view. Well equipped. Good layout. Good response from staff, accurate information give.

    Stairs to reach the chalet.

The location is amazing — right in the mountains and perfect for hiking, skiing, or just enjoying the natural beauty of Canmore. The hostel has a cozy, rustic vibe that feels authentic and outdoorsy. The dorms and private rooms were clean and comfortable, and the communal kitchen made it easy to prepare meals. The staff were helpful and knowledgeable about local trails and activities, which was a big plus. Free Wi-Fi and on-site parking added convenience, and the overall atmosphere is friendly and welcoming, especially for solo travellers or groups looking for an active adventure.

The rooms are tiny, which can feel cramped, especially if you have a lot of luggage. The bathrooms are a bit basic and could use some updating. The heating in some rooms was inconsistent, and noise from other guests can be noticeable at times, so light sleepers might want earplugs. Overall, it’s a great place for outdoor enthusiasts and budget travellers, but don’t expect luxury, spacious rooms, or full privacy.

Fantastic location, only a short drive away from Canmore town or to the start of some breathtaking hiking trails. The facilities were great: a nice outside area to take in the view, a comfortable shared lounge area, a well-equipped kitchen, and free parking.

There could either be more bathrooms, or better heating in the downstairs bathrooms.

It has hiking trails around it

The reception didn’t answer when we needed help when we arrived at the location passed the check in time at night, called the number given but no answer, the Lady was talking to the other customer and gave our code to the other guy who keep on asking me how much did we pay for our stay.

We stayed at the Bell Cabin. we are family of 11 pax. but there are still 2 beds that were not occupied. It's like a home away from home. perfect place for bonding with a big group. There were 3 bathrooms. so there's no problem preparing for next day. The cabin seems to be newly renovated. Rooms are small, but just okay since the kitchen, and living room are huge.

    No tv ?

Cabin energy & the view of the mountains. Just epic and peaceful.

The beds. Could be a bit more comfortable.

Big kitchen, clean modern showers, clean hostel. Nice terrace

Too far from the city and the road is not great. And my snoring roomate:D all 3 girls couldn't sleep because of one other girl...

The view was just amazing, close to the city centre and nevertheless in the middle of the nature, clean washrooms, kitchen well equipped, beautiful interior with a lot of love for details, bike rental was great - gives you the opportunity for a relaxed/ slow way of traveling from A to B, staff is very friendly and helpful all the time

    7JacquelinePosted on: 8-11-2025

The view of the mountains, very clean and excellent kitchen

Not all windows had screens especially in bathroom, a toilet separate from the shower and sofa bed on main floor would have been more practical, more hooks in bathroom.

Our family of 5 stayed in one of the cabins. The cabin was well-appointed and beautiful. The view was spectacular, the beds comfortable and the kitchen well-stocked. It was our favorite place that we stayed.

I wish that parking was closer to the cabin, but the rest of the cabin made up for it.

Easy check-in out of hours with well communicated pass code. Bike storage was open air cover opposite reception. Tho' not "secure" unless you are travelling with massive lock, the location of the hostel makes it unlikely that bikes will go walkabout. Excellent catering facilities in common kitchen and comfy lounge.Beer and basic provisions available from reception. Also bear spray, if you've been struggling to get any and at a fair price.Quiet location a few km out of town. Easy to cycle to.

Problem with hostels is other guests appear to have little concept of the noise they make when accessing common facilities such as shared washrooms. Absolutely no fault or marking down of hostel for this, just ignorant guests.
