Plains Motel

stayed there a few times before, It is the same as it has always been. Decent price, good staff and I knew the location.

Room was not ready when I got there although it likely should have been by noon.

The staff, they were great, very helpful and friendly.

Needed some updates, other then that very good.

Price

Carpet had wrinkles. Smell of smoke in the room. Stockyard smell outside in the morning.

For the price, it cannot be beat. The owner seems to keep an eye on things to keep it quiet. I would definitely stay here again.

It was a pleasant surprise to have such a spacious place (with a queen bed, a couch, 3 chairs, a dinner table with 2 folded leaves) and a fully equipped kitchen, all for $70! Very clean, AC works quiet, a bit outdated carpet, but again, it's clean. Location is great, we walked everywhere.

Pillows were a bit lumpy, also you can hear outside noises when cars coming and going, but it's expected in motels.

There is a very old fridge in the room, very noisy. It woke me up several times per hour

Cheap room!

Not the motels fault but the day before the city had a huge wind/rainstorm which caused the wind to blow rain into the room door so they had fans drying out the carpet

They could provide security at that place, when I was there a couple had a shouting bout at 2am

Value, room was what I expected.

Cleaning staff left our roomDoor wide open all day. Advertised free wifi, did not work. Sauna not opened. Only thing as advertised was the free parking.

For the price its a good place to stay. The room is quite big. wifi is working normally. For motel you can find its a decent place to stay.

It's clean and comfortable. Here also close to some fast food restaurants and supermarket. Front desk were really nice. Comparing to the price, it's very worth it to stayed here.

Some of lamps in my room which can not use. The air conditioner was noisy when it operating. It's hard to find the power of electricity in the room. And here only has two floors, so here without elevator.

Not again

Stayed 2 nights. Room was not cleaned for second night…bed not made.No clean towels provided for 2nd day.

Excellent management and staff; very friendly and accommodating. Very generous sized room/suite. Comfortable bed. Very convenient to everything Brooks has to offer.

The Plains is a typical 1970s style motel and is therefore a bit dated in decor. Comfortable, but definitely out of style.

The staff was welcoming and efficient. The older building was clean and well kept. Room was quiet and had everything you need.

I cant think of anything except older rooms, which isnt really a problem.

The staff were very friendly, helpful and accommodating. Just wonderful people. Good variety of television channels and ample hot water for shower or bath.The room has ample amenities and is spacious. Good location in town. Fair price for what they offer.

Unfortunately, the beds were far too hard, and the pillows were too thin. Some people may appreciate this, but we were quite sore in the morning. The heat was very difficult to keep stable, and the room kept overheating, but that may have been due to a wicked draft coming in under the front door.The towels could use some updating, and there is a shortage of plugs to recharge devices.

While this may sound harsh given the relatively cheap rate, the stay was not good value for money. I can totally understand more spartan facilities at this price, but the problem was with cleanliness. The bathroom walls had mold on, the room had a strong smell of chemical toilet, the bath plug didn't work, tap water had a horrible taste (nothing said it's not drinkable) and worst of all I think the bed had bed bugs. I was covered in bites the morning after!

Close to a good place for supper and a coffee shop for breakfast. Clean linens.

Could not for the life of me figure out the shower. Could not get it to work. Had to unplug the fridge as it made a god-awful noise in the middle of the night.
