Proximity to planned activities

Steep access and precarious parking is not low vehicle clearance/ manual transmission friendly. Would have preferred an alternative parking space without the extreme corner drop-off, even if it wasn't in front of sleeping unit.

Unable to check into room on time. It was after 6pm before I had access to the room. Also they had paper copies of my cc, that is a tad annoying. I asked what they do to keep it safe, the reply was don't worry it's safe..

Quiet

Thin walls, we heard the neighbours using the washroom at night.

The rooms were large and well-appointed with appliances and equipment. The location is very convenient.

Whoever redid the floors did a really sloppy job. Our check-in experience was absolutely ridiculous and took almost 20 minutes of swapping rooms, re-filling forms, and trying to overcome an impossible language barrier. It’s funny now, but it was very frustrating and stupid in the moment.

Online photos are not close to reality. Be warned.

They knew we were three people and only had towels for two. Also only two cups for drinking. Office only open after 10 am and we had to get ready for a funeral service. Pictures aren't at all like reality. Said they had a reno done but the flooring was so poorly done that it looks like they squished brown caulking into the gaps and then smeared it around. Literally looks like poo on the floor. TV remotes were taped together and didn't work. For 3 people there was hardly enough room to walk and no room for suitcases. Overall just really grungy and dilapidated. Way over priced.

Air conditioning was not working in 33 degree heat and couldn’t be fixed during our stay. Wifi was not working either

The location is excellent and the two bedroom suite was generally comfortable. I appreciated having a small kitchen.

The water temperature was hard to adjust. The bed could be more comfortable.

Excellent location for ferry, some stores and good restaurants. Fridge is a good size. Kitchenette.

Clean, comfortable and exactly as represented. This funky motel is exactly why people still search out motels. Friendly and helpful staff, excellent location and good value. Rooms have been renovated and who cannot like vinyl (read: clean) flooring. It is not a resort hotel and if you want that, move on. If you want a clean, safe and comfortable motel, with stunning views, and close to restaurants, look no further. Don’t let the rather scary driveway deter you, just take it slow and back in.

Nothing that can be changed. As noted above, it’s on a hill and the first time you drive in or out is a bit scary but just take it slow; the place is well worth it (and you don’t get a view without a hill!)

Convenient location and the staff was excellent and kind. Nice that it had a microwave efficiency kitchen (which we didn’t need to use, but good to know).

It is just a little old/wirn, but generally fine.

Rooms appear to be hastily refurbished without attention to detail - doors didn’t seal, poor quality paint job, cheap bathroom soaps.

Location near ferry terminal. Amazing views of the water. Clean and well-appointed kitchenette.

Convenient to center of Powell River and BC Ferries, with decent view of water

Facility has thin walls making it noisy; there is no policy of "quiet hours", so guests were partying loudly in the parking lot late at night and we had to complain to management for it to stop; there is inadequate space to hang clothing (lack of hooks, etc); facility is built on a very steep hill, making driving and parking more difficult than it should be.

Great staff, easy check in and the perfect location for gathering the family before our kayak trip out of Lund.
