Pros +
- The location.
- The location was great - right at the ski lifts. The staff were very nice and accommodating.
- The location and we met the sweetest, most helpful staff member ever. Hotel employee made our stay so enjoyable and went above and beyond for us. You're lucky to have him working there.
Cons -
- The room was not very clean. Towels and sheets washed but stained. Bed and pillows were not comfortable. Loud guests at 11pm and 2am, staff called security as a result.
- The pool and spa were broken. The window leaked air, and the previous attempt to fix it with masking tape was unsuccessful. A large number of items were off the menu at the restaurant, and the cooks had the ability to turn chicken into rubber.
- It was plain and basic, but location is the key with this hotel, so it delivered to our expectation.

Location was good for ski in and ski out. Staff were very friendly and helpful
Room could have been a little bigger and washroom could use an upgrade
Excellent location. Not fancy but for the price and slope side, it’s wonderful!
Reception was friendly and courteous. Housekeeping was exceptional. Value for an on site ski accomo was amazing!
Very impressed with a 2 star hotel!!
Check in was super easy and the staff were really friendly and helpful Location was great, right by the hill, and assigned parking for the hotel. The room was clean and comfortable
Nothing!
Its proximity to the ski hill. They’ve also spent some money to upgrade the place. Every time I visit, there is something new!
Not much - though they could upgrade the bathroom eventually.
Very easy parking, Very easy check in, Friendly receptionist from England. Rooms were specious with big windows to open, good tv and frig..
All good
The hotel is a budget friendly facility located at Fernie ski resort, which is really convenient. Parking is included. We stayed with a group of friends and we had a great time. Hotel has limited amenities but for the price is ok.

Location - next to the hill and can’t be beat!
It’s an old property and needs sprucing up. I can see that they’ve made efforts to freshen up the space as it does look much brighter and more welcoming than before. I heard there are plans to update things like mattresses and curtains, etc so I am seeing some improvement.
Appreciated the coffee in the room, Charlotte at the front desk was lovely. Easy to get the tickets and everyone we delt with was very helpful.
The bath in the room could have been cleaner.
Guest service
Pretty rough rooms Bed to small and not comfortable No ice machine
It was well priced and in an excellent location.
It has no pool or hot tub.
Slopeside cafe was efficient with good foodStaff at the ticket office are great
The lodge was a great spot for a brief one night stop over on our way through town. I was pleasantly surprised with how spacious comfortable and clean the room was, and how cozy and homey the lodge felt.
We were there in the summer months, and amenities in the village were limited/nonexistent. I imagine it's a different scene all together in winter, but summer was like a ghost town. This was fine for a one-night say, but would be a little more intolerable for a longer visit.
Only rooms available for the period I booked with my group of 5 people.Overall, rooms were clean enough, and quiet enough, once 11pm came around.Large indoor common area near our rooms allowed our group to stretch out a bit and relax.
While I accepted that the lodge was out of town (on the ski hill), we showed up just BEFORE the stated time doors would be locked (8pm MDT), and they were already locked, no one around. Had to call and request someone come let us in.Unfortunate that on-hill restaurants (walkable from our rooms) were all closed as of 8pm MDT - and even on a Saturday night. This meant we had to order food delivery from an in-town restaurant and pay extra for that instead.Rooms are getting quite dated. furniture showing its wear, and someone had obviously been smoking in our Non-Smoking rooms.
