We would certainly stay here again. Location is amazing.
Additional towels and the ability to remove garbage after a couple of days.
The room modern but clean
No elevator needed to carry luggage up and down
The location was just perfect. We loved all the nearby restaurants to choose from. The riverfront walk and the center town square were both within 1.5 blocks!
The washer/dryer didn't work while we were there. They replied to our call very quickly but no one ever came to fix it.
Perfect location. The penthouse was large with 2 full bathrooms (each with a tub and separate shower) and one half bath. Beds were very comfortable and the heat worked very well. It was very clean and had 2 fireplaces. We parked in the underground parking garage directly across the street and had no problems checking in.
We liked everything about the property. I guess it would be more convenient if there was somewhere to drop off luggage without blocking the busy streets. It was difficult to unload into the deep snow while blocking traffic.
L'emplacement, chaleureux, bien équipé!
Don't have smart TV.
Wonderful location! We stayed here for the Christmas holiday and we grateful to be steps away from the markets and many options for wonderful restaurants. We also appreciated being next door to the Chateau Frontenac, but not in it due to how busy it was for the holiday season. The check-in was seamless, the rooms well appointed, modern and the bed supper comfortable! The parking garage across from the hotel managed by a public parking group was super easy to access. If returning to Quebec City we will definitely stay again and recommend to others!
Although we appreciated the Nespresso coffee machine in our room, we would have loved to grab a coffee or pastry from the onsite shop, but it was never open during our stay.
Perfect location, easy for tourist! Room is spacious and clean. Definitely will return on my next trip to Quebec.
Communication is fast and easy.
Excellent location, safe neighborhood, beautiful room, comfortable bed and bedding, nice furnishings. Loved the lighting in the room and around the hotel.
The building is a recently converted historic building right in the heart of old Quebec with easy access to everything. We traveled to visit the Christmas markets which were literally around the block. The property uses a virtual check-in and front desk staff are available via text. They always answered promptly.
The heat in the room is set at 21/22 C, and cannot be changed. It was a little warm for us, and we didn't want to open the window or turn on the AC with outside temps below freezing. Parking was also a challenge on the first night, but we recognize it's always going to be a challenge in such a condensed older city. Arriving at 5:00 on a Friday during the Christmas markets didn't help. Per the advice of the virtual attendants, we were able to park in the street with our flashers on, run our bags inside, and then go to find parking and have fun.
Love the convenience and location of the property. Rooms are nice and comfortable.
Would be nice if the rooms were clean everyday.
great location; very clean and comfortable
Well located for tourism, clean, quiet
The parking was difficult
The location was prefect to everyone we did in Old Quebec. Loved the modern ascetic of the rooms.
We had an issue with the temperature of the room & we’re unable to control it ourselves. We would open the windows to cool down the room & then close them when it became too chilly. Next time we probably won’t chose the 3rd floor
Good space, comfortable bed and newer and clean facilities. Excellent location. Code box to get in, no reception. Little bit expensive but location was perfect
Location, Room Condition.
Heating was not working.
Cannot beat the location. The room was spacious and modern. I wouldn't consider any other hotel for our next visit to Quebec City. Having a coffee shop on site is a plus.
We liked everything about this hotel and would not hesitate to stay here again. From just a few minutes after booking until the end of our stay, communication with staff was easy, professional, friendly and exemplary.Everything we needed was easily found in our space. So nice having a closet with extra chairs, iron and ironing board, hangers, blow dryer, easy-to-use safe, and space heater. Shower was big and comfortable to use. Wonderful having a desk, TV, kitchenette with supplies, coffee maker, other appliances. Also in the room was a very nice booklet explaining the interesting history of La Maison Kent; more info can be found in Wikipedia under Duke of Kent House, Quebec. The attached coffee, pastry, and dessert shop was an bonus. Other necessities are available there too and the proprietor Mohammed was so kind and helpful. The combo bed/living room/kitchenette area was clean and spacious; also the bathroom. Shower was roomy with both a hand-held and rain shower. Rooms were very nicely decorated; bed and bedding were very comfortable. We loved being in the quiet, cozy semi-basement room - had good lighting from the windows. We loved the original old stone walls in our room.Location is perfect, right in the heart of tourist activities, close to many restaurants, shops, transportation.
While of course very few hotels are absolutely perfect, there is not much to dislike about this property. Folks should keep in mind that housekeeping services are at customer's request. We heard from the kind manager every day by text to ask if we needed anything. Also, for English-only speakers, be advised there are very few TV channels we saw that weren't in French. But who has time for TV in such a beautiful city! There are concrete steps outside leading up to the hotel entrance, that could do with some glow-in-the-dark markers. With regard to the semi-basement room like we had, some older customers might have a hard time navigating the stairs, especially with luggage. Mohammed helped us with storing our luggage since we got there early, then taking it downstairs at check-in time.
