North House - Auberge La Chouette Hôtel Automatisé

Staff was rude , was locked out of my room for one hour and did not get the room I was supposed to and did not get the email to enter the staff less hotel. Front door was left unlocked and it felt not secure .

Very clean. helpful and friendly owners/staff. walking distance to everything and in a great location.

sorry to say that it is missing an elevator. also, our room had a nice/large bathroom with a big tub but not a walk-in shower. however, I would choose this hotel again.

There is a jacuzzi instead of a shower which is less comfortable/convenient for us. Also, the neither the water pressure nor the water temperature was inconsistent in the jacuzzi.

Staff was helpful, friendly and very flexible.

Small things like a noisy fan in the bathroom, not thoroughly clean floors, but overall, it was a very nice stay.

The hotel is located in the old part of the town. Parking was available for just 15 Dollars a day

Room wasn't clean. The towels on the floor weren't changed instead they folded them and put them back. To have a shower was quite an experience as the water temperature switches from hot to cold and back instantly. Room had no window an ac didn't work.

Best possible location. Received great hospitality from the host - Sin Booth who runs the place went out of her way to make our stay comfortable. The Apsara restaurant - located in the hotel is one of the best Asian restaurants we have ever eaten at.

The room was quite large, beds were very comfortable, breakfast -quick,fresh and nicely presented. The location is amazing. It is just inside one of the gates to the old city.The owners were very friendly & helpful/spoke English. Ice on request.

Parking was down two blocks behind another hotel and is $15/day.The rooms were on the upper floors - pack lightly. The room didn't have a fridge and we were travelling with a cooler of food so would have appreciated that convenience.

Inside the wall made this a very convenient for the old town sites of Quebec.

I just love this hotel, its room, its location, its staff, everything is so good. I can't ask more.

It's clean, it's quite and good location

The location is fantastic, and I would stay on Rue d'Auteil again. The building also has a lot of character, with other similar buildings on either side, which makes the overall ambience very pleasing. The room itself was small but comfortable, with a nice view of the park across the street.

A larger room, in which you can move around more easily, is always nice, but it was fine for me and my husband, and I do understand the trade-off between character and size. A few things that could have been better: the soap and shampoo (?) in the shower were not labeled, and the quality was not clear. The soap dispenser next to the sink was very "industrial" looking. It would be nice to have better products and dispensers (though I did appreciate the lack of small bottles). It might have been nice to move the boot tray outside the room (we could have done it ourselves, I suppose), or a different system in the winter so that we don't track snow/mud into the room. Finally, I did not find the hair dryer (in a bureau drawer) until the moment we were leaving! It should be in the bathroom.The key codes worked great and everything went smoothly. But, when there is no human being present, it does lend an impersonal air to the experience.

Location is very strategic

No elevator. I stayed in the fourth floor and carry 1 big luggage and 1 small luggage with me.

The location was great! The bathroom and room itself were very clean!

There were not any wash cloths. The mattress on the bed to the right of the room was not very comfortable.

Location and very clean. Simple layout and nice bed.

No elevator and had to carry baggage up three flights of stairs. No hand rails on one side of the stairs. Could have had better pillows. I don't like foam style pillows much.

The location was great and the room was cute. The staff were also very helpful!
