    Pros +

    • Staff are friendly. Room cleaning is good. Good facilities in kitchen
    • It was clean and quiet.
    • Friendly staff, location is quiet beautiful place

    Cons -

    • The air temperature of the two bathrooms were extremely cold, around 13 degrees Celsius. I used the biggest room and it was not possible to increase the heater and it was too small anyway. It needs to be replaced.
    • Beds are not great
    • You have to be aware that this place functions essentially as a hostel with private rooms, and the reception desk being the same desk as the restaurant below is not the most intuitive. These shared utilities are the biggest downside, and it’s reflected in how cheap this location was to book. However, I never had to fight for space or feel like I was in the way. There are 8 total rooms at this location, so encountering other guests was infrequent and I could exist in a comfortable privacy even in the common areas.

While not everything was in perfect condition, such as the grouting of the showers having a bit of mold or chipped glass, the location was comfortable, welcoming, easy to access, and clean of any and all bugs. It is right next to a convenient bus route into downtown and the old city (Rte 807, use the RTC paiement app!), as well as a delicious bakery for easy breakfasts and lunches. Considering the complementary services, such as a TV with a variety of streaming platforms, laundry machines, kitchen supplies, etc, and such a low low price, I would absolutely return here without hesitation if I’m ever in the city again.

Amazing value for money, clean and spacious.

The building and facilities are on the older side.

lovely staff upon check-in. quiet building.

carpet was grimy and musty.two bathrooms did not appear to have working lights, so only one was available after dark.

    The location in the city

I did not appreciate the cleaning lady asking for our room key 1 hour before we left. If it says we can leave at noon, don’t ask for the key before noon.

It's a very quiet place with all facilities. Rooms have nice windows, good space and the common areas are well equipped.

Staff was really friendly! Price was really good too. The location was pretty good as well, with a few stores around for the necessities, and it is pretty convenient to go to the old city center from there. Having a restaurant attached to the hotel is pretty convenient, and I was glad to have this option.

I did not know if there was any shared "office" space and/or some amenities like an ironing board and so on that I could have borrowed - but it's true I did not ask.

It’s good there’s a small restaurant downstairs, the rooms are comfortable and everything is well organized in the kitchen. The way to the old town takes one hour walking or much less if you get on a bus.

The staff is not very friendly

    9KarolPosted on: 10-3-2024

It was fully functional and pretty big room with the kitchen access, good capsule coffee and a popular restaurant on the ground floor (a lot of local people tend to go there and their poutine with smoked pork was probably the best I've had during my stay in Canada).

Some bathrooms were in a not-so-good condition and their ventilation system tend to be quite noisy sometimes. There was also a dust on the picture frames in the kitchen hall.

The beds should be queen size, not double. Most people shared a bed, us and other travelers we met. The bed is a bit too small for 2 people. The mattresses could also be more comfortable. They weren't bad, but they could have been better. I might be a bit too picky, as we had a nice time overall, and met some really nice travelers. Everyone was quiet and friendly. The quiet upscale neighborhood around us was amazing!!! And the parking was not an issue at all, despite being on the street. A short bus ride to the old town, was also great. The staff were all super friendly and very accomodating.

It felt like it needed a lift, like a clean paint job, the fake plants all looked really old, you can tell that the place overall could use a little extra lift. It would also be really nice if the front balcony was open, with chairs to sit on. Also, the place needed more fresh air, an open window in the kitchen would have been nice. And the old dingy carpets changed out for flooring that is easier to clean. Overall things were fine, and probably about right for the price. But it would be very simple and easy to make this place even more amazing.

The location was good, easily accessible. Access to the room even late at night. The little sink in the room despite not having a bathroom was nice.

I think the price was still a bit pricy for what it is, but i guess the fact it was the last weekend of the FEQ influenced it.

    Convenient, cozy, friendly staff.

    Could be cleaner, especially bathrooms.

    9AvalonPosted on: 7-2-2024

Really comfortable rooms and very clean. Loved being able to do our own washing in the laundry too!

Could smell cigarette smoke from downstairs, and could use a cooking pot for the stove.

    8AnthonyPosted on: 5-2-2024

There is a bar and a a restaurant on the main floor, the girl at the reception is pretty cute, a nice kitchen in the commune area to cook food, and It is really close either from the downtown or ste foy..

The room cleaner tried times to enter in my room (she woke me up) even if I was putting the “busy” sign. When I tried to talk to her about it, she was really rude, walked away from me and never had eye contact. It is as my only bad experience about the hotel

Well located and generally very quiet.

The carpets need to be changed

    5AuréliePosted on: 3-4-2024

    The room was clean.

The smell of the place, no aeration in the room just a window that we couldn’t close again cause broken. Weird and not steady lock for the main door and the door of the room.
