Pros +
- Great location
- Location was definitely the best part of the hotel. We were directly across from the Chateau and were easily able to explore the old city. The staff were also a huge plus. They were helpful and accommodating.

Cons -
- Spa wasn't working the first night of our stay. They fixed it in the afternoon on the the second day but people were coming in and out of our room.
- The only negative was that they didn't replenish the bath products or the tea/coffee with room service. I had to ask for those. It was no issue and the staff was quick to provide them, but I was a bit put out that it wasn't automatically done.
- No. This was a very good hotel. The room was a little small but for 2 people it was ok.

Quaint, cozy room with interesting architecture, finishings, bathroom design.
I got a chigger bite on my foot during the night!
staff was rude. there are hidden charges. not worth your money.
The location was perfect! Staff communicated well when I messaged them. The room was clean. There was an espresso machine and pods in the room with a mini fridge.
The bed was not comfortable, the WiFi was not good at all. The shower didn’t work properly and some parts were broken. When you flushed the toilet the tub drain gargled and it smelled like sewer at times.
Cozy clean excellent local quiet great restaurant downstairs
This is no ordinary hotel. It starts with the property itself. It is an historic building and the rooms are brick walls, beams in the ceiling, most comfortable feather beds, and furnishing that make you feel like you’ve step back in time but with all the modern conveniences. What sets this hotel apart is the people who work here. From the manager who personally drove us back to the airport, to reservations and restaurant, all staff, everyone to a person, went above and beyond to be friendly and helpful. The chef in the kitchen made me a special meal because I cannot eat dairy. A concierge staff waited outside the hotel to help carry my luggage to my room. And every day I was greeted with genuine friendly conversations from every member of the staff who seemed to know me personally from day one. The restaurant was a delight. There were many places I could’ve dined but we ate every single meal at this hotel restaurant. There is even a little boutique store attached where I could find a large selection of things that are not normally included in a simple little gift snack shop. The central location of this delightful hotel meant that I had no more than a two minute walk to any place I wanted to visit.Normally, you need to brush up on your French to go to Quebec city but the staff was fully versed in English conversation.I have not been so delighted with a hotel in a very long time!
Wry charming building in a perfect Old Quebec location
The doors are connected to wifi and stopped working
We liked the location. It's close to many attractions.
We did not like the room or its surroundings. Everything felt cheap and very lacking in care. Many things, including hot water and the door opener, did not work. The facilities did not match the value of what we paid. It was very disappointing.
The staff were amazing Charles was great and Phill in the restaurant too..
Just no parking onsite
We liked that there was a restaurant at the hotel and the room we had was very spacious.
We did not see a hotel staff during our stay.
The location is excellent. The room is very clean and the bed comfortable. The on-site restaurant is excellent. A shout out to Charles for the excellent service he provided helping us settle into the hotel as well as his service in the restaurant!! Merci beaucoup Charles.
The bathroom in our room was within arm’s reach of the bed and unfortunately, the door was glass…..and not completely frosted or opaque glass. Glass doors don’t encourage the ‘mystery’ of what goes on behind closed doors! ??
Location, room was so cute and loved the view
only thing that was good, was the power of the shower
shabby, expensive, view of scaffolding . steep steps up the room. No inperson staff to deal with. Sleeps 4, but only 4 coat hangers,2 cups . poor quality bedding. Badly stained carpet. had sent a message saying we would be there early, they said ok, but actually nowhere to put suitcases that was safe, ran out of toilet paper... need i go on... Yes. I put review on google, manger said he would contact me about refund, I had to chase for 2 weeks, it was just a distraction. no contact from him even after 3 emails...
Great location, and friendly restaurant next door
Narrow stairwell. The attic was great but a bit of a challenge to ascend 4 floors. All in a great hotel.
A great location right in the heart of Old Quebec, steps away from shops, restaurants, the overlook over the St. Lawrence River.
This is an older property. While the room was clean the shower temperature was not good. We had long days walking the city in 40 degrees temps, so an adequate shower should have adequate water temperature. The digital key was inconsistent but a physical key was provided for backup.
The charm, the location, the beams and the two king size beds.
The coffee machine did not smell good and it was powder creamer. It would of been nice to have small milk and creamer in the fridge.
Very cute attic room that was quiet and comfortable. Stairs only access. Great location right near chateau Frontenac.
Location
NO staff. Stained rugs. Fixtures had a layer of dust. Everything VERY dated. Construction next door was noisy as were street entertainers out the window. Digital keys were a challenge. No one to ask for info about the city so not a helpful place for a tourist.
