The room is good sized, beds comfortable
The staff was friendly and the location was perfect. The glass shower doors need a lot of work. The lady taking care of the breakfast was absolutely outstanding. She kept everything full and clean the entire time we were there.

This Super 8 was one of 2 of the cleanest Super 8 hotels we have stayed in. We aren't 5 star hotel types, but we do expect a clean place to stay and not just our room, but the whole hotel. This was a marvel, compared to others. It actually deserves a 20.
Everything!! It was stylishly decorated with western theme. So tasteful! Breakfast was a REAL breakfast! Rooms were large, super clean, everything in room 105 was immaculate. Beds super comfortable! Room temp could be adjusted exactly to my liking!
Nice folks at the desk when we checked in. Everything was generally average for a motel room. Average breakfast was provided with a nice roomy area to eat.

Top Tips
- Book Rodeo Week accommodations 14-16 weeks in advance to avoid 200-300% rate hikes. The Goshen County Fair & Rodeo (late July) fills all 360 hotel rooms in Torrington, with non-refundable rates increasing from around $89 USD to $250-$350 USD per night. Book by early April for best availability and note that cancellation policies may be more restrictive during special events.
- Choose I-25 frontage properties such as Best Western or Super 8 for median Wi-Fi speeds of 28 Mbps, compared to 12 Mbps at older downtown motels. Hotels directly accessible from I-25 exit 90 are more reliable for remote work, but speeds may drop after 20:00 due to network congestion. Accessible rooms are available at major chains along I-25 and should be requested early; verify Wi-Fi speed at check-in if needed.
- Pay in USD at checkout to avoid a 3-5% dynamic currency conversion surcharge on foreign cards. Motel 6 and Holiday Inn Express activate dynamic currency conversion by default; decline and request settlement in US dollars to save roughly 4%. Request an itemized receipt to confirm currency settlement and note that paying in USD also avoids currency fluctuations.
- Request a ground-floor or accessible room or confirm step-free access by phone if mobility assistance is needed, as seven of the ten hotels in Torrington lack elevators—including all properties built before 2000. For travelers with mobility impairments, step-free access is not guaranteed without an advance call.
- Use self-service check-in kiosks at Best Western to avoid front desk staffing gaps between 19:00 and 21:00 at major chains including Best Western, Holiday Inn Express, and Super 8. Kiosks are located in the lobby near the entrance; staff assistance resumes by 21:30.
- Avoid cash-only motels on 2nd Street such as El Rancho as on-site ATMs charge $5.50 USD, which is higher than the regional average of $3.50 USD. Major hotel chains in Torrington accept credit and debit cards for greater convenience and better recordkeeping; the nearest no-fee ATM is 4.3 miles away at First Wyoming Bank.
- Skip housekeeping every other day during June to August to help conserve water, as Torrington enforces Level 1 water restrictions and local hotels scale back linen changes. Ask about additional conservation measures if interested.
- Carry a portable power strip since motel rooms average 2.3 AC outlets, often located behind furniture. Travelers with multiple devices may face charging conflicts; if outlet placement is difficult for mobility reasons, contact the front desk for an accessible option.
- Reserve the Torrington Municipal Airport (KGCC) hotel shuttle at least 24 hours in advance, as midday service gaps occur Monday through Friday from 10:00 to 14:00 due to crew rotation. Median unbooked wait time is 78 minutes. Guests needing accessible shuttles should specify this during booking.
- Select Holiday Inn Express for complimentary breakfast with clearly labeled gluten-free items, which is not the norm in Torrington. Breakfast hours and options can be confirmed with the front desk. Other properties can provide ingredient lists on request if you have food allergies.
- Avoid booking through third-party online travel agencies for Rodeo Week; call hotels directly to unlock 10-15% repeat guest discounts not available through platforms like Expedia or Booking.com. Direct booking also allows you to confirm available room types or accessibility features.
- Pick properties west of US-26, like Super 8, for rooms with 3-5 dB less nighttime grain train noise; east-side hotels experience 10-14 Union Pacific trains nightly. Double-paned windows help but do not remove noise entirely. Request a quiet or interior-facing room when booking.
- Confirm free trailer parking in advance, as three motels (El Rancho, Pine Tree Inn, Budget Lodge) charge $10-$15 USD nightly for RVs or trailers despite promoting onsite parking. Check for added fees before arrival.
- Bring a physical map or download Google Maps offline, as Verizon and T-Mobile lose signal on the I-25 approach and in four out of ten local hotels. Some hotels offer printed maps or directions at the front desk on request.
