Comfort Inn Charleston South

Room was clean. The hotel is well maintained. The check in clerk was very friendly amd effecient. The breakfast was good, typical of hotel free breakfasts. Price was reasonable. Second time we have stayed here and would stay here again.

No one knocked at the door when we had the do not disturb on the door

L There is going on between Comfort Inn & Quality Inn with this hotel when you show up you see Quality Inn, but it is a Comfort Inn, both are posted on the hotel which is very confusing. This must be why they have such a high rating. The breakfast sucks.

Poor HVAC performance. Room had a musky/moldy odor. AC helped resolve but it did not cool as efficiently as expected.

Nothing. I couldn’t stay because the room gave me an asthma attack and I felt unsafe for myself and my car in the area.

The room was thick with the smell of cigarette smoke and mildew - I tried to tough it out for 10 minutes but I started wheezing and having an asthma attack. The locations felt unsafe as well. The staff were understanding and did support me not staying

Our king room was large with a sofa. The room was clean and the matress was very comfortable. The breakfast was good, typical of most restaurant free breakfasts. The hotel was close to several chain restaurants for dinner.

Free hot breakfast. Very comfortable bed and linens. Nice towels. Generally quiet room, especially no traffic noise. Friendly staff. Location convenient to interstate without being bombarded with noise.

Somewhat slow check out.

It was clean and had wonderful bedding. The breakfast was very good. Had to switch rooms twice. Staff was very accommodating .

The first room had a smoke detector beeping loudly. The second room smelled mildewy and awful. The third and final room the security bar/latch was loose and could have easily been breached. I stayed in the 3rd room because I did not want to move again.

The refrigerator did not work and it would not get a few minutes for an extended check out otherwise I get charged a fee

Difficulty getting hot water from shower for a hot bath. Finally figured out dial - confusing but never got very hot. Only complaint I had.

TV didn't work correctly for two full days. Couldn't see major networks or local news.

Very clean. Rooms were very decent for this price range. Breakfast was very satisfactory. Staff was extremely cordial. They also allowed me to park my motorcycle very close to the front entrance where staff could keep an eye on it.

Very minor issues in room, including low shampoo level in shower and malfunctioning stopper in bath and sink.

The shampoo, conditioner and lotion dispensers. The front desk staff was excellent and breakfast was fantastic!
