Fairfield by Marriott Inn & Suites Madison South

The hotel was undergoing major renovations. Accordingly, the parking lot was limited, the main dining hall was closed, plastic was on the carpets to protect it. Just unpleasant to be in that environment unexpectedly.

The staff person at the desk was very helpful. She not only gave me a recommendation for a place I hoped to experience, she looked up the address for me as well.

Both the pool and the hottub had staining on the floor surfaces. Cosmetic, but looked awful. Property could use updating. In the handful of hotel properties along the access road, it seemed the least inviting. Everything was okay, but nothing was specia

We love the location, the price and the friendliness of the staff. We¿ve stayed at this hotel last year too and had the same great experience.

A lot The worst breakfast in all the years of stays in hotels! Staff didn¿t even come to our room once to clean! Room smelled disgusting and the hotel did not smell good at all!

Hotel was clean and up to date. Breakfast was good. Room was quiet and comfortable.

A written TV channel guide was not in the room.

Would not let anyone check in Early, 3pm check in , Lots of People waiting, Then at 3:00 Staff said had to count Money first , so had to wait Longer

The room was nice and looked better than expected.

1)The room telephone did not work. 2)The front desk was not staffed at all times. 3)I had to ask to have the rear entrance sidewalk shoveled. 3)their computer system double charged us for a 2nd nights stay & I have to wait for the refund now.

The room was great! We were on the top floor so the ceilings were really high which made the room feel bigger. Super comfy bed, linens, and pillows made for a great night's sleep. Spacious room with two highback chairs and footstools in addition to a desk

The pool and hot tub were out of order which was a little disappointing only because there was no notice prior to booking as that is a listed amenity.

The staff was very friendly.

First room the heat didn't work. Second room had a bad odor and remote didn't work. Also, I was hoping to have some options for movies to rent.

Hot breakfast. Tile in the shower. Clean and neat. Pool and hot tub was open and working.

Isn’t in downtown Madison like they call themselves. 10-15 minute drive away. Hair dryer wasn’t working. Seems a little outdated.

convenient location to get into downtown Madison/Capitol Square neighborhood and it has good, visible parking. accommodating and welcoming hotel staff too.

too many hotel guests not wearing the face masks in the public, common areas of the hotel. not really the hotel's fault but it gives a negative impression.

Nice comfortalbe bed.

The room smelled like old cigarette smoke. The AC barely worked. This room was quoted as 'downtown' but was not really near downtown at all. Misleading.

Staff was very nice. In addition to a complimentary breakfast, they offered an evening happy hour with complimentary appetizers and drinks.

The service is top notch. I was greeted by hotel employee and he was sincerely appreciative of my business. He was friendly and helpful. The breakfast staff was also very accomodating. I would definitely stay here again.
