Inn at Discovery Coast

Lots of thoughtful touches. Little rubber ducks for the bath. French press coffee.

Our room was not in the main building with a view but in a little house behind it. We chose this hotel because it was on the beach. Not the house. Very disappointed.

I¿ve been coming to the Inn for 12 years. I do love the location. However the addition of Pickled Fish is quite another matter. Since this review is about the Inn I will write a review for pickled fish elsewhere.

The location and the bed was very comfortable

It is confusing where to go to check in, they do not make it clear which number to call for the complimentary breakfast basket

We had an oceanfront room and also enjoyed the pool and sauna!

Convenience of location, great architecture, loved the warm pool and saunas (pool could be hotter) and

Didn’t expect as many screaming kids- would be nice if staff helped manage noise levels cause parents were oblivious.But they did have adult only hours so that was great. One of the saunas wasn’t working, and couldn’t figure out the gas fireplace, pool could be hotter but really great intention.

We were Never told about breakfast. .

Front desk person el horrible customer service. Dealt with 3 of them. Room was dirty, horrible decor, bad bed. Mildew

Prime location. Closest place in Long Beach in proximity to the beach. Very comfy bed with fireplace, balcony and jetted tub. Also loved the lighting and leather seating.

It was busy during Labor Day weekend so we didn't get to use the saunas as they were consistently occupied with one of three "out of order". For the price I would have expected complementary robes and slippers. I say this as a past employee of the Bellagio in Vegas.

It’s a lovely property right on the beach. It’s a smaller building (which I loved) with only 9 rooms that seems to be an extension of the Adrift Hotel next door. Our second floor corner room had a beach-facing balcony with two chairs, a perfect spot for sitting and watching the waves. If the weather is blustery, you’ll still enjoy the view from the sliding door and a huge picture window. The jetted tub is both large and deep…so relaxing. Property amenities are plentiful, and the staff is so kind. Would be more than happy to stay here again!

Location was great - right on the beach and walking distance to town. Staff was extremely helpful and friendly.

Proximity to the beach and town, we could have our dogs, comfortable bed, comfortable couch, porch, cute lobby, coffee service and water in the lobby, welcoming to LGBTQ, front desk people were sweet,

Door was broken, window was broken, sugar ants, fridge was tiny and loud, very thin walls, could hear every upstairs neighbors movement, thermostat didn’t appear to work - room was 75 upon arrival and didn’t cool until we opened the door, black mold growing in the shower, table along the window was rickety - this is a 4 star hotel and it felt like a 2 star. VERY expensive for what it ended up being.

We reserved a special room & was given a postage-stamp room, very small.

Ditto & no help with the staff in relocating to another location!

The size of king suite, pool and sauna. Abundant fluffy towels, access to the beach.

Was promised a front facing room but got room in building further back which limited our ocean view but room was nice. The Inn has balconies with ability to see ocean but room we had was a bunker style and felt closed in. Even with concerns, would return.

Right on the beach, restaurant on site, heated pool on site. Friendly and helpful staff. Close to many restaurants and tourist sites.

Would have liked more info on the spa and services available.

Really nice room decor and cozy feel. Access to the beach was great, and use of bicycles too! We took a bike ride all the way to the lighthouse and back. Love that the room we had was dog friendly, and quiet.

Bed was reeallly, really firm and uncomfortable. I like firm beds usually, but this one was like a rock. None of the saunas were working either, is it was disappointing to not have that amenity working.

ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. The front desk stated upon arrival that the room I had booked with Booking.com was not available and they were placing us into an inferior room. I clearly told them that this was incorrect and that I had confirmed my room with them the previous night. They were RUDE to say the least... after back and forth arguing, the manager simply cancelled our reservation and stranded us for the weekend. We were forced to located other accommodations in the town. I WILL NEVER EVER stay at any of the "Inns" and I am seriously considering NEVER ever using Booking.com again, as well.

Local food was good but not great. Very limited eating establishments.

Long Beach seems like it has not changed since the 1970s.Really nothing new, the town seems old and kind of run down.

Cute. Great location. All the amenities needed! Nicely decorated. Very quiet. Warm pool, hot sauna. Take advantage of adult only time in spa however

I really enjoyed that the property had bikes to use. Also the pool and sauna was amazing. Also I Like how there is adult time only in the pool.
