The cabins are located a few feet from the gates of Mount Rainier National Park. Entrance is visible from the property. The main inn has an on-site store and souvenir shop. A small refrigerator and microwave are included in the cottages at the Gateway Inn & Cabins. The cottages are located away from the main building of the inn. The Gateway offers access to skiing, fishing and hiking. Paradise Mount Rainer is 17 miles from the inn. Long Mire is 6 miles away and offers hiking and recreation center.

- the location and the fireplace, the desk receptionists.
- Staff very kind and helpful. Beds comfortable. No ice machine but guests provided bag of ice.
- Location next to park entrance at Mt Rainier Natl Park
Cons -
- The mouse that got stuck in our toilet in the middle of the night, disease risk, the owner wouldn't reimburse us for that one night. The floors were extremely dusty, especially under the beds, many cobwebs, and the top of the frig had dead bugs and dust
- Microwave and refrigerator were not clean. 4 guests but only 3 wash cloths. Only one bag of coffee. Office only open 9am-6pm. Trash full when housekeeping restocked towels but they never removed it and didn?t have extra bags.
- Cabin floor so slanted 1 side of bed propped on pieces of wood. Linens/pillows were dingy, extremely worn. No addl pillows/blankets provided. No electrical outlet in bathroom & no switch to turn bathroom light off. Just stayed on. Cobwebs everywhere!
