Holiday Inn Express St. Albans By IHG

Our room was clean and comfortable. It was also quiet.

They gave us an additional room to compensate for not having the room I reserved.

I reserved a 2 bedroom room with 2 queens and 1 king and that room was double booked so I did not get the room I reserved. However, The hotel gave us an additional room to correct the mistake.

The side door key card access panels were functional, and this allowed for a more easy in-and-out tied to my daily activities.

There was an odor in the hallway near the pool area which I considered to be uninviting.

We liked the room

We did not like the exorbitant price of $--- for one night!! The double room had two TV¿s in it and neither of them worked. Management was cooperative and reduced the rate by $--- because of that. There was also no waste basket in the bathroom!

The rooms were newly renovated

The AC/heating unit in the room was extremely loud, could not fall asleep once it was on. The biggest disappointment was the breakfast was only a carry out bag with prepackaged muffin and yougurt.

Very friendly staff, extremely clean and new room and bathroom; large and comfortable room, right off the highway and easy to drive to downtown - fabulous!

Had an issue with my TV so they upgraded me to a King Suet

Monday morning breakfast closed earlier than we realized so we didn't get our free breakfast. maybe communication could be improved on that subject

The Bed. The mattress was too hard. My sleeping experience was not good. I got up sore and tired and I have sleep apnea.

Our second stay (Sunday) was on the newly refurbished third floor on the opposite wing and it was definitely an upgrade from the second floor and no noise from the truck stop.

Our first stay (Thursday) room was on the second-floor wing nearest the truck stop and we did hear truck noise off and on during the night.

The room was very nice, modern, clean and comfortable

The breakfast was OK; the same offerings each day. The pool did not appear to be heated. The internet connection was spotty. The hotel overall is very "tired".

Your breakfast was awful. There was no coffee and the waffle maker did not work right. When my daughter asked for some spray so waffles didn¿t stick she was told they didn¿t have any.

It was close to the highway for easy access.

The breakfast was a joke. The 2nd day there I went out did some different food because what was there was more breakfast snack than breakfast food. I was disappointed.

The staff are very responsive and friendly.

I wish the room was cleaner. I we found a fragment of a client now in the back we were sleeping in.
