Everything! The cabin was great and spacious - the Viking theme was so fun!

No - such a great place to stay!

The location was a quiet and peaceful spot ! We could walk around the village and sit in various places to enjoy the woods or the goats. The village decor was entertaining to look at while walking around and the park area was nicely groomed !

The cabins are delightfully designed, sturdy and comfortable. The commitment to detail is exceptional! My kids loved it so much last year that we made a special trip to come again this year!

The staff went above and beyond with their accommodations and hospitality. Additionally, the cabins and stay itself was clean, well maintained, and very comfortable. The property was unique and consistent thematically, with some basic but fun amenities.

The property was beautiful as evidenced by the craftsmanship of the main building and the cottages. They were clean and overall amazing. We wanted to try something different and this fit the bill. The sheep were incredible as were the owners. They were very knowledgeable about the land, sheep, and building and had great recommendations for dining. I was a little nervous about renting a “Viking cottage” but this place exceeded my expectations.

I wish I had stayed longer!

Obviously the setting and the structures are absolutely amazing and did not disappoint. It is an amazing venue and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it for a quirky event. Nearby town with supermarket.

We found the furniture in the common areas of the cabin very uncomfortable, which was a real disappointment for a self-catering holiday in a place where they isn't much to do. We were there to spend time together, but the table furniture were high stools with narrow "arms", and the seating area was a very low and deeply slanted futon. Being people who are both older and bigger, we found these very uncomfortable to sit in and difficult to get out of. The beds were comfortable and the decor was lovely. I found it strange that there was tea provided, but no kettle with which to make tea?It would be lovely if there was a shared communal area where people could read/play games/do puzzles, etc.

Beautiful cabins, very comfortable bed, shower, kitchen.

Great place, quiet and relaxing. I do recommend that you bring along some groceries. The lodge does not provide any food services but each cabin has a kitchen.

No laundry facilities. No shop-opportunity on site.

A wonderful and unique family getaway place with beautiful landscape, welcoming owners and very special sheep! We loved our visit and hope to return in the future with more time to explore and relax.

Amazing job on capturing the spirit and ambiance of a Viking village, from the entrance to the cabins to the long house and native Viking sheep it is an awesome place.

Definitely a one of a kind experience. My 7yo loved it. So great just watching the sunset from your porch and they have rare sheep on the property as well.

The viking chalets are fun and neatly decorated. The design is clever too so a lot of amenities are arranged on a small footprint. Our toddler loved running around the pathways between each unit and visited the Soay sheep on premises as many times as possible. Plenty of kitsch to take in if that is your taste.

Apart from the sheep and the fun decor, there was not much to do at the resort. The main lodge was not activated during our stay and was locked up most of the time. We spied a couple other lodgers while exploring the campus but it felt deserted otherwise. The resort is somewhat remote so be prepared to travel a bit for entertainment and food.

I loved these cabins so much!!! The staff is amazing. They take so much pride in the area and it's absolutely beautiful. I felt right at home from the minute we arrived.

The only downside is that there is absolutely no service. They have internet and the wifi is strong but if you can't take calls on the internet then that is something to consider.

A very unique experience. Plenty comfortable for our family of 4. The sheep were a bonus/entertaining.

The attention to details in designing this village was just amazing. Everything felt perfect. Very clean. Very nice and accommodating owners. We will def come back again.

It was a bit pricey. Maybe a breakfast included in the price would be a nice add on. They have this beautiful facility that maybe even offered just on weekends would be nice. Or a community bonfire with snacks or something.
