Other than it being under construction, it Clean, comfortable and convenient.

I unfortunately saw one roach.

Hotel rooms were very small and for the price it wasn't worth it should have been a lot cheaper and was charged for 2 days and only wanted one

Gave me the smallest room and charge me for two nights

It was nice, quite. Great location.

The mattress were too soft. Need to be updated to med firm mattress. Soft mattress coukd cause back problems.

The gentleman at the front desk was exceptional, room was well equipped, clean and comfortable. Great hotel

That they were okay with dogs. Some hotel staff were nice people. After we asked about the food in refrigerator & cabinets they was nice to send someone to clean it all up. But had to clean bathroom after finding dirty tissues in cabinets. Ewwww.

4night Ask 4towels from house keepers. Told to go down stairs front desk & get it our self if we needed anything. Not told where ice was. Got to the room & had left over food how do you miss so much food a lot when you cleaned? Didn't even get a discount.

Staff was friendly and helpful.

Heating/cooling did not work well. The room smelled like smoke. The water in the bathroom would not stop running. Fridge was old and made strange noises at times.

The room was huge!

I couldn¿t find any staff to check out. I waited about 20 minutes and never saw any staff members

No one came to clean our room and we ran out of towels because wasnt cleaned. Also, had a weird moth ball smell.

Location. Kiln Creek is convenient to everything. We did VA Beach, Portsmouth, Newport News, Yorktown and Williamsburg. The location made getting everywhere very easy.

The only things I like about this hotel is it's being dog friendly and nearby the locations I was visiting. The room layout and the pond view from my room were good features.

The thing I did not like about the Candlewood Suites is the bed wasn't very comfortable and the linen didn't have a great smell or great feel. I stayed at Candlewood Suites in NW Richmond VA 3 months prior and really had a great experience. Disappointed

Location was very good. However, there was no breakfast provided by hotel. Of course I should have realized by type of hotel that breakfast may not be included.

We would have liked to have had breakfast but then again we would have missed breakfast at Mobjacks which was such a great experience that we stopped back there for lunch.

I loved the fact that everything was there in the room and it felt like taking the kids to a home away from home

I did not like the fact that our mattress pad and mattress itself was nasty , and it was late when we realized it and had to move rooms at 12 1 o clock in morning with 3 kids by myself and I was already exhausted and ready to go to sleep. In the future they should pay attention to the reservation to make sure everyone is accommodated properly. I booked for 3 kids one adult so we was going to use the pullout couch. Also when we arrived our room smelled like nail polish remover if the previous guest did that, why not put us in a room cleaner ? We moved across the hall so it was a better room for us.

Had three rooms with two under my name and one under my sons name; and all between rooms and floors had heavy smoke smell on one floor and in bathroom of another room on separate floor. Majority of building cameras for security had covers removed or hanging off. One room had smoke detector covered with plastic. Third room had heavy chemical smell. Advised by staff, no other rooms were available.
