Located on the Virginia Beach boardwalk and steps from the beach, this oceanfront hotel is 4 miles from First Landing State Park and 4 minutes’ walk to the Virginia Beach Fishing Pier. Free WiFi is accessible. Each room at Capes Hotel includes a private balcony complete with views of the beach and ocean. A microwave and a refrigerator are also included in the rooms. - The ladies at the front desk were over and beyond helpful and kind and friendly! Made us feel like we were very welcome.
- The view and the location.
- Staff are very friendly
Cons -
- Only 1 ice machine on second floor. Had no handicap bathrooms.
- Hair dryer in room did not work, drain on hot tub broken and would not raise, had to be completely pulled out, bathroom light switch faulty, had to wiggle to get fan and light to stay on. Room is very small, much smaller than appeared in photos.
- The rooms are a little dated but they are still comfortable.
