Nice room, good fitness suite & decent location.
Staff- particularly young guy on check out morning- unhelpful & rude. When I queried the price of parking ($25 per night; not $20/ night in confirmation email) I was first told it was because 3rd party (booking.com) get it wrong. When I explained the email came from the hotel, he said it’s taxes (which wasn’t mentioned in the email).Breakfast was barely ok… and eating anything with plastic cutlery is a challenge.Overall, it was expensive for what it was.

The hotel was very nice, and the staff was excellent. My biggest issue is that I booked and paid for my room a week in advance but when we got there the room was not available. I was told that booking over booked the rooms. There was only one room available thst I had to take and a family member had to sleep on a couch. My thought is that it's a horrible practice to take a room from someone who paid a week in advance.
Explained that on the last question

Room was spacious
Had to request towels multiple times before receivingNo warning elevators were being renovated Breakfast-awful—came down around 8:30 and most items not available Room was nice but not 100% clean—hair on toilet, toothpaste from previous guest on sink

The rooms were clean and spacious. The location was in the middle of downtown and near VCU. Staff was very friendly.
I repeated called housing keeping for more towels and got either no reply. When I finally got through, they brought up only small towels and then didn’t fix the issue after I called back.

Hotel room was comfortable and had a nice view. We loved the gym. We liked the location in Richmond downtown a lot. Staff was friendly and helpfull.
We got confused by the two hotel-name-situation. We booked at Homewood Suites, but parking garage was named after the second hotel. Elevator had tapes at the skirtings. Breakfast was rather simple. I would like to have some kind of vegetable and cheese.

The hotel didn't have full service price to high for not having full service Breakfast could have more selections served same thing 2days in a row once again not worth price also had to pay 25 a day for parking what a ripoff

Location worked well for our needs. Didn’t have time for breakfast so can’t comment on that.
Hampton Inn lobby was closed. Upon prying the automatic doors open enough to squeeze in, we found a sign on the registration desk directing us to the Homewood Suites lobby (same building but separate entrance). Would’ve been nice to either know this in advance (email, text?) or be able to read the closed sign from outside the doors. Our room was in need of a refresh, just looked shabby overall. The air conditioning unit makes a jet engine sound every time it kicks on; hard to sleep through
