    Pros +

    • Location to downtown SLC
    • The hotel is GORGEOUS. The staff very friendly. Don¿t expect high end or someone who went to school for hospitality services, and you will be happy. It¿s nice kids running the front desk. The bed was great.
    • The location is great; very close to downtown. Free (and good) coffee available in the lobby every morning (I didn't see where the free breakfast was). Staff were very friendly and accommodating. The hotel is attached to Eggsburgh which is GREAT!

    Cons -

    • The air conditioner is too loud for that size of room. Constantly ran all night off/on
    • The surrounding businesses can be a little noisy, but nothing earplugs can¿t handle. The manager at the attached Eggsburgh restaurant was unprofessional both days we went. First day to her waitstaff in front of us, and then rude to us the second day.
    • There was no fridge or microwave in the room. I also didn't have a hair dryer.

The Peery hotel was quiet and quaint-perfect! The location was ideal for our vacation. And the hotel offers a variety of options when it comes to restaurants.

The architecture of the building is beautiful & well restored. The maintenance & cleaning staff were very courteous & responsive.

The hot shower water lasted less than 2 min. Maintenance guys said that was the norm because of an old boiler. The afternoon guy at the front desk was quite rude. Off-site parking was extremely limited and very expensive ($35/day) for Sale Lake.

The ambiance. The staff wasn¿t intrusive.

The parking was a bit of a pain. The room was rather small, but comfortable.

Perfect downtown location. Quiet. Beautiful old building.

Room was great but needed a few fixes. Curtains ripped. Window glass pane cracked. Shower head loose. Overall though a very clean and beautiful room.

    good location

the rooms were very dated, hotel staff was not at all helpful with local area had no knowledge of surrounding areas or things to see and do!!!

    Location, charm

Tiny rooms and especially the bathrooom.

    10Verified Hotel GuestPosted on: 5-28-2022

The hotel was located near parking, food amenities, and the downtown area.

The sink for the restroom was located in the main room. This is most likely due to the age of the hotel.

We love this hotel and we come here at least once a year. It has an antique charm that they haven¿t lost with the remodel and we love that!

The heating was broken and we were not told in advance. This was not ideal but they made it right after-the-fact and we are pleased!

It had a great vintage, industrial atmosphere. Friendly staff and just a neat vibe. Really fun to stay there.

The AC cant keep up with the rooms so it was really hot in our room. The only option to help was to have them bring a box fan into the room to help it cool down. A ceiling fan would've helped but upgrading their AC would be better. Also, no fridge.

Location and the two female clerks who checked my family in and answered all our questions

Rooms way to small. Could barely turn around in the bathroom. Front desk would not answer phone.

    4Verified Hotel GuestPosted on: 5-10-2021

Staff tried to charge nearly $50 up front for ¿incidental expenses¿ on top of our prepaid total bill, yet couldn¿t explain what this was for, only that we might get some portion of it refunded in 7 to 10 days.

    3Verified Hotel GuestPosted on: 4-20-2021

    Ambience and location.

We booked a room with a soaking tub, we didn¿t get one. And the shower tub combo we did get, didn¿t work.

    10PaulPosted on: 8-25-2020

The desk staff both of them were fantastic. They are very good at what they do... efficient, welcoming, kind, and gracious.

    8Verified Hotel GuestPosted on: 12-10-2019

    It is historical and unique.

Not as amazing as the star level would indicate. Super small rooms. Mediocre staff. Room was clean though.

    The location

Fold out bed had no bedding was told that bedding is in the room but it was not . Cheerio on the floor and had to ask for soap. The toilet was so close to the edge the of tub that it was uncomfortable. AC weak.

    Great character and location

Small room and tiny bathroom. Smelled super musty. Staff was not super friendly. Bed was not comfortable.

    4MarkPosted on: 6-26-2019

Small rooms. No heat. The staff provided space heaters but they kept throwing the circuit breaker. Luckily we brought a electric blanket
