Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Salt Lake City Downtown

The staff was very helpful and wanted to make sure that our stay was very pleasant and they were all very professional and pet friendly

The staff was amazing, so kind and attentive, and they were professional and efficient. The hotel was very clean and smelled good. The breakfast was good and had a large assortment of items. The beds and the room were very comfortable.

The noise level was horrible. First, you could hear noises from other rooms. That was not the worst noise; there was a club right out of our window playing very loud music and I did not get to sleep until 2 am when they closed.

Pool!

Breakfast was colded I had to microwave food.

The room was spacious. Indoor pool.

There was a LOUD dog barking next door to my room all afternoon and night long (I didn't realize this was a pet friendly hotel). The hotel didn't do anything about it and didn't switch me rooms as they were booked. There was no hot tub. Breakfast was meh

The location

The staff was rude, hair in tub, smelled like dog pee and mildew. Would not recommend!

Over all the hotel was nice

I was given a handicap Room and the restroom smelled like urine I notified the front desk he came in and tried telling me he could not smell it 3 other people told me That they could smell the urine in the bathroom and they don't know how he couldn't

Stayed for a week ...the Staff was very flexible and understanding of my situation of working graveyards

The breakfast

I was hesitant after I read some of the reviews but when I got there everything was good. Great location, staff, nice shower.

They provide ear plugs but I didn’t like how creaky the floor above us was. It was bad specially at 3-4 am when the guests were getting up and ready, walkin around. We weren’t informed about breakfast, pool restrictions or if there were parking costs.

We were given the wrong room at check in, this was not fixed. We left and stayed st a different hotel. Elevator in this hotel was broken too and would not work for us. We got stuck.

Wrong room assigned, hotel would not accommodate us. Elevator was broken and we got stuck we left and went to a different hotel and did not even stay here.

The front desk person that helped us check in was very friendly.

We didn't end up staying because we had a bad feeling about the hotel. Our room wasn't as clean as it should have been, the fruit at the front desk was moldy, and the walls in the hotel were paper thin. We could hear the conversation from the next roo

Very clean and well-decorated--nice breakfast.

Our room was by the stairs and there was a tremendous amount of noise from the stairs, the back door, and the visitors staying upstairs from our room.

Comfortable, clean, great breakfast buffet.

Disappointed in the cold pool.

It was within walkable distance of downtown; it was also clean and updated. I also enjoyed the free Wi-Fi.

I did not like being placed in a handicap accessible room without being told in advance. As a hotel guest, sometimes you want to be able to relax and take a bath and that option was not afforded me.

The hotel lobby was closed and consequently so was the pool. We also couldn't find the breakfast provided by the hotel. We were placed in a room with one bed despite having booked a room with a bed and sofa sleeper. There were unwashed sheets in our room.

We normally enjoy the Marriott Hotels

This Marriott was under massive construction which we were not made aware of. They did not offer the rooms that we paid for (kings with sofa sleepers), the restaurant was torn out, and the pool was destroyed.

Room was nice and clean, internet was good, bed and pillows were okay.

Our window faced a very loud and obnoxious dance club. The walls between rooms seemed thin. There was no breakfast included.

Our room was nice but awfully small. We felt a bit crowded.

The staff here was awesome! They checked me in quickly, when my neighbors were being loud they gladly and quickly moved and upgraded my room at no charge, they had snacks for quick purchase. The stay was great!

The places surrounding the hotel were insanely loud. This made work a little tough. I had no trouble sleeping despite this. Once in bed, the nice was minimal.

the location was ideal the security of the building at night was comforting staff was considerably nice

I was expecting better quality for the star rating and the price that I paid it was more like a one and a half star not something I would've expected from the Marriott company

Great location in the downtown area. An easy walk to local attractions, restaurants, etc.
