Hampton Inn Dallas-Rockwall

All of the staff were polite and helpful. Breakfast was good and convenient. Hotel and rooms were clean and nice.

Long ways into town.

The hotel was in a great location. They allowed us to check out an hour late. They also allowed us to check in early.

It had a bad smell about it. Did not have fresh water or cookies out, like most of the Hampton Inns. The pool water was warm as bath water. It just was not as nice as the other Hampton Inns we have stayed in.

We only stayed one night but the staff was wonderful and the room met our needs.

The location was great. Right by interstate 30 and tons of food and gas stations and shopping nearby.

When we walked into the hotel lobby to initially check in it smelled AWFUL like boiled cabbage. In our room and the rest of the time there it didn¿t stink. The staff must have made some nasty food that day.

The staff was so very accommodating. The breakfast menu included GF options, which is unusual. The breakfast attendant was very willing to allow me to look at the ingredient labels of the various foods for my assurance.

The hotel is in a good location and many restaurants in the area also. It was very clean, well-kept, comfortable beds.

The location was great. There are lots of restaurants nearby and it has easy access to major roads.

The description and pictures of the pool are deceiving. It appeared that it needed cleaned and treated at the time of my visit.

Yes this location really needs to be renovated. The couch was stained. Also the employees where not knowledgeable about covid practices. There was a poweoutage during my stay and even though I was refunded for that night there was no plan of action

I was glad a room was open since it was a last minute reservation.

It was adequate for my short stay from 6:40p June 2nd til 11am June 3rd. I was there one-third of that time due to friends wedding!

The rooms were comfortable, and the location was exactly where I expected.

I am not an AC person, but it's a wall unit that I couldn't get to a comfortable temperature. I am sure this is probably a me problem. Also, the hallways were blazing hot the first day we were there. And the pool was closed for redoing. Still great!

The bed. Although it was king size, it was uncomfortable to sleep on. I also did not like the very heavey comforter and the lifeless pillows.

The night clerk was friendly and energetic. He was a breath of fresh air on a stormy night.

Cleanliness

Overall it was a great hotel. However, if you are towing a trailer, especially a boat be prepared to have to park on the street as they will not allow you to park in the parking lot. There are not any lights on the street so security is a problem.

My sons wedding brought in over 100 guest, yet we got charged to use the conference room to gather. Due to covid we had nowhere to visit. Then to get charged for the only private place to sit and meet.The pool had algae everywhere and was not maintained.
