Candlewood Suites Corpus Christi - Portland

Pros +

• The staff here was very accommodating. The first room we entered had been minimally cleaned. When we voiced our concern they immediately switched us to a better room. The location was also safe and very convenient to get to from the road.
• Location was good, price was decent. toiletries were nice, bed comfortable.

Cons -

• The first room we had was minimally clean. There was a layer of dust on the shelves and someone else's trash in the closet, also the dresser drawers looked questionably buggy. However, the staff was accommodating and switched us to a much cleaner room.
• Room was very humid, carpet infront of AC unit wet, smelled damp in room. Shower had absolutely no water pressure. Towels were small and only had 1 wash cloth. Caulk in shower with mildew. and tub did not drain. Toilet was SLOW to flush
• It would be nice to have the option of a pool, hot tub or continental breakfast, but overall we were happy with the hotel.
