Best Western Lubbock Inn

The staff was very polite and accommodating. The location was perfect for what what I was in town for.

I was a bit upset to see the pool closed, but I know pool maintenance is expensive and many hotels are moving away from having an active pool.

There was terrible mold on the walls of the bathroom that stunk up the whole room. The desk manager was reluctant to let us change rooms and had to call his manager for approval. In addition, the rooms that we saw were in need of deep cleaning and repair.

Television would not work properly. Things hanging off wall.

Price was affordable.

Poor lighting in room. Bugs noted on bathroom floor. Refrigerator not working. Drain plug in sink would not stay open. Hotel in poor condition.

The room was cool enough

Yes. It was rated as a 4 star review. We arrived late at night. Customers outside smoking and watching us take our luggage out of car. Grounds are filled with cigarette butter. Upon opening the door to our room several roaches appeared. I took a picture

Room was spacious

Couple roaches in the bathroom was a bit concerning, so cleanliness was certainly not where it should be. I was too tired to talk to the staff, so I ignored it and got my sleep and left.

Location

Very dirty hotel ! It was old and worn which was reflected in the price. However, the fact that it was dirty and I killed two cockroaches was unacceptable. Bed sheet was stained, hair on wall surrounding tub, soiled, uncleaned toilet.

We were on the second floor and couldn't find any stairs, what if there were a fire? Our room had roaches in it...eww. Bunch of baby ones in the shower, so I skipped taking a shower...gross. I'm gluten and dairy free, so skipped the breakfast, too.

I like the convenient location. Despite the unkempt parking lot.

The person at the desk when I checked in, kept telling me about the "no smoking" policy. I must look like a smoker. I could smell cigarette and Marijuana smoke up and down the hallway. There were cigarette butts in the stairwells and a ton of potholes

Absolutely nothing

Dirty rooms, staff members beat on my door for house keeping. I didn¿t make it to the door within the first 15 seconds of him beating on our door he tried busting into the room. Black mold in the bathroom that they tried to paint over. No hot water either

Shower was good, nice warm/ hot water. Frig and microwave and easy access to vending machine and ice. There were many entrances.

Small cockroaches-3 by the sink, 3 in bed, 3 in bathroom during our one night stay! Spider in bathroom. The area around the sink was very dirty-thick stickness. The bathtub had hair on the edges. The carpet was dingy- felt dirty. Frig wasn't cold enough.

Roaches, mildew smell and carpet was moist. Not the best area for a women traveling alone.

The older man at the front desk was rude. Head no people should. And really needed customer service skills classes.

The staff on duty was extremely rude. Due to the error that the Howard Johnson's employee on the shift before had made I was not able to get my room after all. They kept my money. Had nowhere to go. Had to sleep outside in the streets.

The price and the location and it was quiet!

Dirty, bugs in the room, staff tried to charge me twice

It was dirty the bathroom started leaking water from the ceiling. They didn't compensate us. they took a $50 cash deposit and it hasn't been returned to my bank.hardly spoke any English and were very rude

The room I was originally assigned was not done being cleaned yet and the cleaning guy was laying in the bed watching YouTube videos.
