Tru by Hilton Katy Houston West

Basic Hilton motel with clean rooms. Not fantastic but definitely not bad. Location was more industrial that I realized.

Upon arrival prior to 3pm, the clerk sat for about 6 minutes on her phone, not the hotel phone, and took longer than she should have to acknowledge my presence.

The lady who check me out was pleasant.

The person who checked me in was not helpful. My room was not up to par. There was a huge crack in the shower wall. The bed linens looked old and unkept.

The location was good. Check in was easy and quick.

Parking was substandard. The breakfast was awful. There were not any plates when I looked at the breakfast area. The assortment of bread was meager and the eggs and turkey bacon were not appetizing in the least.

This high quality hotel is located just off I-10 making it easy to stop and start again the next morning. One of the best Mexican restaurants ever is a three minute walk.

I booked a double qnd I was given a single bed. They could not do anything for us. My husband slept on the floor because only 3 of us fit on the bed. Asked for free cancellation so I can book somewhere else with two beds and they said no.

We have enjoyed the stay in this hotel, was clean, they provided all the toiletries with great quality and also Tv comes with some apps included like netflix, it is well located. Great hotel!

need a shelf in the shower for my own shampoo and conditioner and soap.

That it had floors instead of carpet.

Lock on first room didn¿t work, shampoo was out in the second room and floors were dirty. Someone knocked loudly on our door and someone jiggled our door and staff were not proactive to make us feel safe. We ended up changing hotels and paying 3X more.

We have stayed here before, the bed is so comfortable and room is so cold.

This time the hotel was dirty, the floors were visibly dirt. There was 2 huge hand prints on the head board and a lot of hair on the bathroom floor and back of toilet.

certainly not cleaned properly. there was debris on the floors everywhere- if i can physically see some filth, imagine the filth that isn’t visible to the naked eye. no one wants to wear shoes in their hotel room where they’re meant to relax and unwin

Every aspect of the hotel was great; however, the beds were not comfortable, which certainly impacted my sleep.

Breakfast was good. Had some variety. Was clean. The eating area was clean comfortable and well cared for.

The air conditioning in the room was odd first it was too cold. The controls worked properly but in the morning the temperature was OK but was damp and just odd..

My stay at the Tru By Hilton Katy Houston West was enjoyable overall, building on the positive aspects I experienced at other Tru by Hilton locations. The staff was friendly and helpful, although the sense of connection felt slightly less pronounced compared to my previous visits. It was clear they were doing their best, but the warmth didn’t fully resonate throughout my stay.The breakfast spread offered a variety of options, but I found it a bit lacking in selection compared to what I've enjoyed elsewhere. The food was still good, with tasty choices, but I hoped for a broader assortment. It’s worth noting that the lobby became quite crowded during breakfast hours, leading to a line for some items. Despite this, I managed to find something satisfying to fuel my morning.

One area that could use improvement is the cleaning. While the hotel was generally well-maintained, I noticed a few spots where more attention to detail would greatly enhance the guest experience. It’s a minor issue that can make a significant difference in how welcoming a hotel feels.Additionally, the breakfast crowd was quite bustling, making it challenging to navigate through the lobby at peak times. This led to a slightly chaotic atmosphere, particularly when lining up for food. A more efficient layout or additional seating might alleviate some of this congestion and offer guests a more relaxed start to their day.
