JW Marriott Houston by The Galleria

They did not show a record of our reservation at check in. The front desk staff disappeared for a long time and when they came back put us in a terrible room. AC was broken.

The location is right next to the Galleria mall. Also the staff was amazing. CINDI, ALLEN, CARLOS and the the black man at the bar treated me so well. Thanks to them for making me feel welcome.

Location, and cleanliness. Nice and friendly staff. They did their best with the situation that happened. Storm took the power out.

The power went out and had no tv, no air conditioning, no hot water for shower. Not their fault.

The heated pool and fitness area was really nice. We didn¿t use any other amenities. Walking distance to the Galleria was great.

Self parking is approx $30 per day. Valet is $50. Both are in the same garage below the hotel.

It was close to all of the nice restaurants and the mall. Everything was within walking distance. The hotel and parking staff were amazing!! Everyone was so nice and no problem with fixing any issues that I had.

The parking was $25 per night for self park and $46 per night for valet.

The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable.

The hotel bar closes fairly early and we got in pretty late. Not a lot of food options and the coffee bar was pretty over priced. $5 for a small generic brand water bottle?

It was clean and well maintained. No tired, worn out, dated structure as with many hotels.

I drove our ranch truck which meant I couldn't park in the garage. The lot hotel parking lot was not fenced in.

Very clean and modern room. Great amenities and comfortable bed

The staff were great. Very attentive and accommodating. Location was perfect. Easy walk across the street for shopping. There were a ton of good restaurants in the area.

Only one elevator was working at a time. Room was a bit small. The room decor needs a bit of an update. And the sundry room needed restocking.

Bathroom was dirty

The location was good. Close to shopping and restaurants if that is what you're interested in. Also, the design of the bathrooms is very good. Nicely done marble shower with glass shower. Beware that this hotel uses a "barn" style door on the bathroom

This is not a "luxury" hotel. Maybe I spend too much time at FS and Ritz. Arrived at 9:45pm and restaurant/bar was closing at 10pm on a Saturday night in a major city. No good. Outlet only on one side of the bed in 2021. "King" bed wasn't truly king size.

The location was great being across from The Galleria and walking distance to restaurants.

My only complaint is that the beds were SUPER firm and not plush like other JWM I have stayed at. We opted for 2 doubles and they were full size not queen size. We were very cramped even as 2 adults and a 7 yr old (I slept w my daughter).

The location of the hotel is ideal. Directly across from the Galleria shops/dining. The cafe was great and we were able to grab breakfast items before golfing. Staff is great and super friendly. Bar area was nice. Rooms as expected for JW.

$25 for valet, in Houston, is ridiculous. Better elliptical machines in fitness center. LifeFitness is trash.

The staff was great. There was a young lady training at the welcome desk. They did a great job of explaining the situation and we moved right along. Great attitudes.

We had some noisy guests next door. Wasn't the hotel's fault. It was Saturday night and folks had a little too much to drink.

Decor is beautiful! Very cool and modern. Clean rooms. Beds are very comfortable! Great location- near restaurants and shopping. Nice views from higher levels. Would definitely stay here again.

We were in a room near elevator- very noisy! Walls are thin. If you are a light sleeper, request a room far away from gathering areas.

The pool, restaurant and bar was open.

The pool is a tad bit small but the space is nice.

The staff was excellent and nice. Enjoy the quietness and no riff raff.

That there was one robe in the room and there was 2 of us and having to pay for the parking. I didnt like the ac.

Room was great

No parking. Had to pay a $25 fee to park in your garage which was never mentioned. I thought that was not a good experience.

I loved the fact that there were options for high speed internet. During the current pandemic, I am working from home and still needed to get work done! The internet was perfect. I had no issues connecting and operating my work systems!
