MyCrib Houston Hostel

It was such a surprise! I didn?t know America had nice hostels! I lived in germany 17yrs. I was so nervous to stay. But it was a last minute trip. WHAT A PLACE!!! So beautiful! Clean! The location! The bed!!! Very organized! Very helpful owners! 100%!!!!

The house gave a homely feel, which was nice. Beds were very comfortable and the rooms were quite spacious for the amount of people per room.

The check-in / reception isn't really available. Sometimes having a person to talk to would be helpful, but the directions given were mostly explanatory.

I found a nice sunny space in the back yard for some morning yoga. Very clean with multiple bathrooms. tea and coffee all day. privacy screens on bunks.

Everything amazing. Host is the best. Hostel is clean and in good location. Everything on pin code. Safe and cool!

Hosts were amazing, property was clean and felt high end while being affordable, was close to all major city point I needed to go to, and everyone in hostel was respectful. Would go here again!

Location was in a neighborhood. Very secure with two layers of coded entry. Only one other person in 8 bed room. Bathrooms were very modern and clean. Good kitchen. Harold was very helpful.

Only negative was one that probably couldn't be helped. There are privacy curtains around the lower bunks. However, when you have those surrounding you, you don't get any A/C so I sweated a lot. Two bathrooms are outside of the sleeping rooms and shared by everyone. I only saw 2 other guests total.

I stayed at MyCrib Hostel in Houston for four nights and had a wonderful experience. Harrord and Katy are truly amazing hosts who make you feel right at home with their hospitality and good energy. The vibe of the hostel is very relaxed and welcoming, with a diverse mix of guests from different ages and cultures. The hostel is also very central and on a walking distance to many bus and tram connections.What I loved most is that you can easily choose between chilling quietly or connecting with other travelers, both options feel perfectly natural here. Since the hostel is literally a house, the combination of the cozy space, the guests’ positive attitude, and Harrord and Katy’s warm hosting creates a homelike atmosphere that makes you never want to leave.Highly recommended for anyone looking for a genuine, friendly, and home-like hostel stay in Houston.

Honestly, there wasn’t much I didn’t like. It’s a hostel, so of course it’s simple and there's not the same privact as in a private hotel room, but that’s part of the charm.

Clean, no shoes worn inside. Well organized

The location feels very safe, walk around the neighborhood, it's nice and quiet. The room and bed feels very comfortable, everything is new and clean. There are bars, market and food trucks just a few blocks away from the house, very convenient.

Best "luxurious" hostel BnB in the world and the best I have ever stayed in PERIOD!!! It feels more like a home in an upscale neighborhood and walking distance to shops, supermarkets, bars etc. The hosts were fabulous and generous with their time, and also met some wonderful travellers from across the globe who've become friends. Celebration of diversity and culture, acceptance and respect. Thanks MyCrib for making my stay a memorable one, one i shall never forget and will definitely return

The property is professionally maintained and very clean, as well as not too crowdy. I liked that I had my dorm room almost empty on almost the whole duration of my stay. There are plenty of drinks to choose from at the affordable price. Special thanks goes to the owner of the place- he was really nice and offered to help with anything. He even checked the bus stop for me upon my check-out. One note also goes to the location- almost walkable distance to the downtown area and the parks, as well as night bars if you’re down for that.

Cozy hostel, like a modified house. Good showers, beds kitchen and living room. Good distance to a few good pubs nearby.

The exterior door lock is solar, so it just run out of battery once and couldn't open. If you're on one of the top bunks, the AC is right in your face and can be a bit loud. Fridge is full of food from previous visitors.

This place really makes you feel at home! The cozy living room and the modern and well-equipped kitchen doesn’t make you feel the need to go out. Rooms are clean and the beds are comfortable. Lockers are fairly big (although my very big luggage didn’t fit..). The code-protected access (front gate, front door and room door) makes you feel safe. Hosts are super nice and available for a chat whenever they’re there! The area is central and nice, I felt safe leaving my car parked in the street at night. Great value for money!

MyCrib was absolutely amazing. The location is perfect to visit midtown and downtown Houston. Proximity to all sorts of restaurants, bars and fun activities. I stayed here while attending 2 concerts and was able to walk to and from one of them. Everyone was so kind and the hostel was always clean. I will definitely be returning.
