Courtyard by Marriott Galveston Island

The room was extremely clean and smells so good. Hunter was excellent. He answered all our questions and made sure we had an awesome stay.

The check-in service was quick and efficient, the front desk agent was friendly and very helpful.

The bathroom towel situation was minimal - only one hand towel and washcloth, and two bath towels. The room lighting was very dark. I received a call from the hotel asking when I would be checking out when I had done so an hour earlier.

The room was not ready timely. All the drawers, refrigerator were open as it appears the room wasn?t checked for gust prior to entering. There was not a soap bar to use for washing hands. The curtains were too thin for sleeping.

Staff was nice.

A/C was leaking and carpet was wet. We were moved to different room. This A/C leaked too. Maintenance was not able to fix it. We were promised that someone would come the next day to clean the carpet which never happened. WiFi was also terrible!

Impossible to go anywhere! No coffee or restaurant nearby and no car service will go to the hotel! Continuously cancel our pick up. Hotel knows its a problem! You are a hostage there. Get ready for the $7 latte.

Requested 1st floor and got a room on the first floor

The room was not the cleanest. We had to pickup our grandkids and had them sleep with us in another hotel. The couch-bed had a big stain on it and they refused to sleep on it even after it was covered with a sheet. This was part of a wedding gift.

The pool area is absolutely gorgeous and the staff is A-1.

They did not have a couch in the room. However I was given two chairs.

There was only a bed, no chairs no sofaCrummy room.

Poor management in regards room prep. Over $-- for the room and no furniture. I've been a Marriott Rewards member for years. I'll quit dealing with them, cancel my Marriott visa card.

Location

The couch in the room was beyond "thread-bare"! The cushion was protruding out both ends. It was unusable. I would NEVER expect to have such poor furnishings.

I reserved a room with a King Bed & they gave me a room w/a Queen bed.The room was also supposed to have a couch & it was missing.The hotel was packed with out of control kids.Running & screaming in the hallways, knocking on doors and running away.

So many things: Pool with a bar outside. Bistro's food was YUMMY! tarbucks was available. Very clean. Staff was friendly and patient! When you step out of the hotel, the 1st thing you see is the ocean. Perfect location!

We actually went to the Cafe prior to trying Bistro. They weren't fully stocked with all items on the menu but had that not happened, we wouldn't have tried Bistro. Not a bad outcome :-).

Upgraded to an ocean view room. Well managed hotel. Clean and away from the busier part of Galveston.

Great location! The sea wall was right across the street. There is a parking garage on site. The room was clean and the hotel was quiet.

The data connection is poor and there were some stains on the couch.

The STAFF was exceptional. The value for the amenities was verry good. The pool was wonderful, and all items on the menu were terrific. Great variety in the menu with high quality taste. The chef must be very good.

The location to a good beach. We had to drive down to a good beach, since the area in front of the hotel was mainly large SEA ROCKS.

Close to the ocean, nice pool and bar area outside and firepit!

The staff was very friendly and the pool was great for all ages.

I reserved a room with 2 queen beds months before my stay. When I got there after a storm I wasn't given that room due to roof leaking. But the staff accommodated me as best as they could.

Very clean, pool is really good. Friendly staff and good location.

Even though I got mail saying all public areas need Mask, I was fully prepared for it except too see no one except few staff members follow it.
