Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Austin South

Awesome staff Ice machine hadn’t made ice one evening, so desk clerk, Sisi went next door to another hotel to get me some. Hot breakfast. LOTS of choices/special touches Fruit & nuts for the waffles. Right on I-35 but NO road noise.

Had to pay $10 for parking here and other areas of the city because of rhigh crime rate. $30 in downtown or airport locations. National Guard is helping!!

Check in clerk was very friendly and helpful. She went above and beyond bringing me a table or my suitcase. The lobby and breakfast room were immaculate and even smelled clean when to entered the lobby

Traffic noise.

It wasn't the cleanest and it is an older hotel.

The fact that I could use the gym at the Marriot Hotel and also that there were 2 charging stations outside the Marriot. Although they could have been a lot faster

The place had a feeling of being dirty. Also very close to a very busy highway so not that quiet.

Love the location! It was pretty clean, and in good shape. Liked the free breakfast!

Had one one staff member having a bad day, another that seemed indifferent. The rest of the staff was very nice! Disliked the shower door closed, lol. Bathroom tile floor looked like it could have used a quick clean. Also, room cleaning after 3 nights.

Proximity to the Airport

Solely 1 small bar of soap on bathroom sink vanity. Yes, only 1. No additional items (such as wet wipes, hand/body lotion, etc.)!!! This is unacceptable. For a hotel chain of this national reputation, a decent expectation is mandatory. Terrible!

Clean hotel, friendly staff, easy stay!

The staff was amazing and the rooms were very clean.

The breakfast wasn't that great. The bread and muffins were all super hard/stale and the juice machine wasn't working.

Wifi connection was horrible. Bkfast was minimal and subpar.

Beds were thin and old. Shower floor felt like it would break through at any moment. Tv was so dim we could not see any thing.

Upon arrival for our 3-day stay, I requested a ground floor room. Not only did they grant the request, but upgraded us as well. The staff spent the next 3 days recommending restaurants, greeting us with smiles.....we felt like family! Loved it!

The facility has obviously been around for a few years. The lobby was undergoing some renovation so the rooms may as well at some point in the near future. The rooms were reasonably clean but still had that twenty-year-old-hotel look, feel, and smell.

We booked this hotel to have a breakfast. When we arrived, the lobby and kitchen was under construction. We were told we could go to sister hotel next door to eat. Both mornings, we were unable to eat, it was crowded and no food was out.

Hotel was close to the airport in Austin. Staff was very friendly and the rooms were updated and clean. Breakfast was excellent with bagels, toast, pastries, eggs, fruit, juice and coffee. A great experience for a 2.5 star hotel.

Just one elevator, so had to wait a couple times.
