    Pros +

    • Location in downtown close to the capital and shopping is good.
    •  the woman at the front was very professional.
    • The location.

    Cons -

    • small room and bathroom is in an open enclosed glass wall area within room.
    • Our floor was soaking wet when we got up in the morning, all of our luggage and some of our clothes were brown and disgusting. When I told them, they offered nothing but an apology and that just wasn't good enough for paying 600.00 for one night.
    • A reservation was made for a room with two Queen beds. The check in time states after 3:00 PM. We arrived at the hotel at 9 PM and were told there were no rooms with two Queen beds available. They provided us with a room with a king bed and a pull out bed

Took 3 rooms to find a clean one. Dirty mattresses.

They said the manager would call me, no surprise that never happened.

    1ShellyPosted on: 2-5-2021

    Location.

DIRTY!! Bed sheets DID NOT FIT the mattress, just barely fitting over the corners. Coffee pot had DIRTY WATER in the reservoir and dried coffee stains all over the coffee bar area.

Checked out a day early cause of no room cleaning.

    No cleaning Please refund

Really expensive parking... the downtown has a weird vibe right now because of covid.. parking was half the cost of a room.

    7Verified Hotel GuestPosted on: 11-10-2020

The hotel was very nice, clean, and close proximity to everything downtown.

The noise from the surrounding bars was extremely loud. The bass kept us up most of the night even though we were 14 stories up.

    Pet friendly

Yeah, my self and family evacuated for the storm, and was not able to get a Refund for the remaining amount after the storm had passed. So we had to stay 2 extra days, just so my money wasn’t wasted.

    8Verified Hotel GuestPosted on: 8-24-2020

It’s impossible to call the hotel before booking to ask questions about covid policy. And when I did get through they did not mention the pool being reservation only so we could not reserve and we’re unable to go the first day. Wish that would have be

Room was clean, bed very comfortable, walk in shower was great, valet was fast and the staff was friendly.

Rooftop pool was turned into an overcrowded club at night and non-guests easily accessed the area; giving wrists bands to drinking age hotel guests is tacky.

    10Verified Hotel GuestPosted on: 5-23-2018

Good Hotel Staff. Hotel employees went out of his way to fix my hotel room safe.

Lack of toiletries in the Lobby Gift Shop !!!!

    10MichellePosted on: 4-5-2018

The location is great if you want to be near 6th Street and in the heart of downtown Austin. Walking to restaurants, bars or local attractions is very easy.

There is no parking onsite and the only option is a $45 valet parking per day. That is too expensive!!

    9BayleePosted on: 12-20-2017

The hotel was beautiful, the lobby had an irresistible smell, the bathrooms were up-to-date and stunning, and the King size bed was very comfortable.

    Clean, friendly staff, great restaurant

    Elevators are annoying

    10AnnePosted on: 7-12-2017

We had a terrific experience at the Westin! The staff could not have been any nicer or more helpful. The room was lovely and well appointed -- plenty of fresh white towels which I always appreciate. The restaurant "Stella Jac" was fabulous!

    6Verified Hotel GuestPosted on: 4-20-2017

The rooftop deck and pool were very nice, although drinks were higher than I'd expect ($12+ for cocktails).

My particular room was parellel to 6th St and the amount of noise made it very hard to sleep until after the bars closed down. Items in the room were literally vibrating from the base coming from outside.

    10Verified Hotel GuestPosted on: 2-14-2017

The room layout and the amenities. The rooftop was a great area to hang out and the views were incredible.

The view from our hotel wasn't very nice. The window was in the side and it didn't have the city view we were hoping to get.

    6Verified Hotel GuestPosted on: 11-22-2016

I liked the shower head and the view and location but that is about it.

The beds were way to firm the pillows were way so soft with no support so I was not well rested during my trip.

    8Verified Hotel GuestPosted on: 10-19-2016

We liked the location because most of our plans were downtown and at university of Texas.

Our room faced two popular nightclubs and we felt the bass of the music in our pillow till 2:15 am both nights!! Parking was $40/night. For two nights that is an extra unadvertised cost!!
