Austin Marriott Downtown

Marriott (and its collection) is a hidden fees brand; I'm done with them. Plan to add ~$100/night (parking, internet, etc.). Teensy rooms and bathrooms, toilet room is terribly designed (sliding door won’t stay shut and isn't flush), etc.

Great location and nice view of the river

The food options without leaving the hotel were very expensive and not that great. The beds were very hard and they have no hot tub. The room decor seems like a college dorm and nothing is built in so it looks like an afterthought.

The staff was incredibly nice and accommodating.

Getting into the parking lot/valet was horrible. I did not like being forced to pay for valet when it was the only option. The elevators were crowded and there were very long wait times for the elevators and valet. Too busy for me.

My husband and I visited for our 25th anniversary, which was Thanksgiving and what surprised me was the the complimentary breakfast and complimentary cocktail drinks. They also sent a bottle of champagne and chocolate to the room. The room was nice.

The pillows, lol. Everything else was lovely.

Incredible staff and a great rooftop pool and bar. I came here to celebrate my birthday and they really took care of me from the moment I set foot in the hotel.

Valet and parking - horrible. The valet area is overcrowded and hard to get into/out of. There was 1 valet person at 7PM, and he was completely overwhelmed - not what one would expect from a new 4-star hotel.

The bathroom was not clean. Floor, walls and the toilet was dirty. Bathroom had water logging after the shower. All the bath towels were dirty with yellow colors/ stains. Surprisingly, no refrigerator present in the room. Very bad experience.

The room and location are fine but similar hotels are 30-40% less in downtown Austin.

Beautiful room and hotel.

Had to clean some hair myself out of the room, but no big deal. Pool Is small and just for standing in it really. And a tub would have been nice.

The location is great. The rooms were very clean and the beds were comfy. The staff was very friendly.

The rooms were very noisy. I heard everything that was going on in the hallway and next door, and it did keep me up for some time at night. I did expect the hotel in that price range to have better noise insulation. The valet also messed up our car reservation, which made us wait a good while until we received it upon departure.

We were lucky to get an early check in which I appreciated after an early morning flight. Had a great room with the city view. Room cleaning and breakfast which we decided to add after arriving were excellent. Location was great. Staff were nice and friendly.

Very courteous and attentive staff. Kyle in restaurant & bar was very good. The valet staff was exceptional.
