Sunrise Ridge Resort by Coolvacay

We could see from the hotel the mountains, the clouds surrounding the mountains was beautiful. We saw fireworks from our balcony and the town. The most beautiful was watcing the sun rise from the other side of the mountains and getting to watch it set.

We loved the quietness and serenity of this secluded resort. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and the apartment was clean, roomy, and comfortable.

It's hard to find, especially in the dark using GPS.

Very nice room size overall. Great view of the Smokey Mountains.

The air conditioning system was VERY noisy. At night, the air going through the vents sounded like a major storm/hurricane was outside. The external AC compressor was located on the balcony!

Beds too soft, rip in rug

The location of this resort was great, about a 10/15 minute drive to any of the locations we wanted to go around Pigeon Forge. The duplex suites were very spacious! Having a full kitchen, king size beds, and multiple bathrooms were a plus! Having the fireplace was an added bonus since we were traveling during quite cold weather! The place was clean and my family felt safe while staying here.

The furniture was a bit outdated, the recliner could use a repair or replacement. In my opinion, the beds were quite hard. You might sleep okay if you are tired enough, I was able to take a nice nap on the couch. If the beds had been more comfortable I would have had a next to perfect stay.

Upon arrival our key card did not work to enter the room. I contacted the office and the front desk said they would have to wait for maintenance. So we had a late check-in . Then over text we had a conversation which was less than accommodating. In the room itself the jet tub did not work and was missing one of the controls. The beds were hard. The extra sheet provided was stained. The couch and the chair appeared to be out of the 80s, weathered and worn.

I liked that our Room was near my sister's timeshare unit.

THE WALLS ARE PAPER THIN! The door to the outer "small" deck w 2 chairs was VERY HARD TO OPEN.They have upgraded some parts of this place, but NOT where we were. :(

The bed was not very comfortable and there was an issue getting into our because the key card did not work.

Disappointed

No shower curtain in the 2nd bath, looked like black mold on wall above master shower, we got stuck in the elevator two times. Elevator in Building 3 went out twice and we were stuck in it for about 10 minutes. Went black, no lights. Called on emergency phone inside it and it rang and rang with no answer. Pushed the alarm… no one responded. It eventually came back on and we got out. I reported it to “ Ashley” at the front desk and she stated she would have maintenance check it out. The next day it happened again when we were leaving. I went down to office and personally reported it and she stated that she had “ left a sticky note for maintenance about the issue.” She had no clue if it had been addressed.

Beds very comfortable

Table was left unclean. Floor boards very dusty. Fireplace dud not work efficiently. Upon check in the front desk associate was not welcoming . The deposit was paid upon reservation. I was asked for it again at check in. Very disappointed.

Could have been a little cleaner, ticket sales for events don’t start at the property until 11am. Way after parks open.

Lack of Sound proofing. Could hear next door stamping around at 6am!!

Toilet problems. Maintenance fixed the issue.

The suite was clean. The view was great from the balcony. The gas fireplace was a nice touch. We had two minor maintenance issues when we arrived but maintenance was there quickly and soon resolved. Very good communication from their staff, making sure all was good.Bed was very comfortable. We grilled steaks on the gas grills which we really enjoyed.

The recliner was uncomfortable. But that was a minor. No grilling tools available.

We were in town for the Jeep Invasion and decided we wanted a place off the strip. The location was great; it was very close to everything but also felt like it was miles away. There was a grocery store right at the traffic light to the road you take up to the resort; this was great because you could get whatever you need and avoid the traffic gridlock that happens during the Jeep Invasion.

The room was in need of updating and the bedroom window was cracked.

It was quiet and the price was reasonable. The room was nice but I liked the one in building 2 we stayed in last year better.

The road getting to the resort was narrow and in the rain it was hard to tell if you were in you lane or not.
