Comfort Inn Memphis Downtown

The location was great. We were able to get around town with little effort. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. The staff was very friendly.

The one complaint we had was that we had to pay to park on the premises.

The smell. The whole room had a weird smell, we went to Walgreens to buy a fabric refresher and sprayed the carpet and whatever we could so when we came back at night to sleep, the smell wasn’t so bad. The room was clean but had this particular smell.The hotel is old, bed were comfy but they didn’t have a smart tv. Too expensive for what they offer.

The staff was very friendly and very polite. This makes twice we have stayed here and will go back.

Great location next to downtown, the Mississippi, and the Bass Pro Shops Pyramid. The breakfast was quite good. Staff at breakfast, the front desk and cleaning staff were welcoming, friendly, and helpful.

We went down for breakfast with 30 minutes left and there were no biscuits, bacon, milk, and bread. The lady also announced there was no waffles left. We put our stuff down at a table then was asked to move because she was cleaning that area. As soon as a group got up from their table the lady was wiping it off immediately, didn’t wait for them to exit the area, etc. We felt very rushed.

Really friendly front desk staff and very helpful with directions and hot breakfast in the morning. Room was very clean, spacious and comfortable. Nothing I didn’t like will stay there again

I thought that the location (based on the description) was closer to the FedEx Forum and Beal Street. Obviously not the fault of the staff or anything. Its about a mile away which is fine if you're up for a little walk. My son and I walked to and from the arena with no issues. The next day though was rainy and cold so we used The Downtown Express which is a service that an individual runs . Highly recommend! Great guy and a fraction of the price of an Uber. His cards are by the front desk.

Good room size and location. Good parking. Pricing is fair. Staff is friendly.

Could use a renovation - the rooms are dated and have signs of wear. When a really nice sir that looked like the owner of the hotel was not present the staff did not have the same quality in terms of service and willingness to be friendly (ie. on the days he was present the breakfast was very good and everything was quickly refilled. On the day he was not present we ran out of coffee, butter, fruits and other things and staff staid sit in a table talking between each other for a long time instead of refilling everything).
