Pros +
- I liked the breakfast they once brought up the floor, but it appears Marriott has done some cost cutting as this is no longer provided. When I was told “breakfast is now downstairs starting at 10”, I was expecting to find coffee and pastries. Instead, they seated me at the restaurant as if I’d walked in off the street.
- appreciated the non-corporate design
- Beautifully furnished spacious room. Huge bathroom with a big walk in glass shower. Great street view. Located in the heart of downtown. Comfortable large sitting area on each floor. Large flat screen TV.
Cons -
- Horrible soundproofing. You can hear EVERYTHING the adjoining rooms are up to. Cannot recommend unless you’re an exhibitionist or a voyeur.
- the abusurd price for a hotel in Knoxville which doesn't serve breakfast or have any room service
- Breakfast wasnt served on New years day. That was a disappointment. Though we were directed to Frothy Monkey across the Street ( excellent), we were surprised that the staff didnt have a ready list of Breakfast options open on Jan 1. Our shower door leaked a puddle o. The floor. The water reservoir in the coffee maker leaked, so we couldnt use it. The curtains in the bedroom didnt close all of the way. We were woken early by someone shouting. Not sure if was our neighbor or outside.

This hotel is incredible, very beautiful inside and it was full in small details to make our stay perfect. This place is located in a very walkable area around good restaurants.
I think for a so fancy hotel I don’t understand how no one is including a better toilet paper. It is a ridiculous complain but the quality was pretty poor. Other than this everything was incredible.
Loved the friendly staff and location, and the French country vibe!
The room was cozy but no access to smart tv to stream Netflix and couldn’t lay in bed and watch tv.
Beautiful rooms. Fantastic staff. Perfect location for our planned weekend
The hotel is very romantic, and the walls are thin - the couple next to us were really inspired. The French breakfast on our floor didn't have plates or utensils, so we just looked at the fresh pastries and fruit
It is a beautiful property and the rooms are very nice. Most comfortable hotel bed I’ve ever slept in.
My only complaint is the television. It’s extremely difficult to navigate and figure out. It wouldn’t stop talking and it’s very hard to find the channels.
The room was divine, enchanting, cozy, amazing bed! Spacious bathroom, plenty of counter space. Loved the coffee bar and snacks! But the best of all was the breakfast of warm croissants, fruit and juice in the lounge. It just appeared so quietly. Quiet room, adjustable tstat that works! Everything so tastefully done with great though to detail. Simply charmed and I never go to Knoxville, but want to come back just to stay in that room. The Kennedy right next door is an excellent restaurant and so convenient.
I was disappointed there weren't any robes, come to find out later that you had them! Did not realize I had to ask, maybe they just forgot. We came in very late at night and was told to just keep our car on the street, to leave our key and the valet would take it to the parking before 8 in the morning. We went out about 9 seeing our car still there with a parking ticket. Gal at the front desk said we needed to bring it up with the valet. The valet said that the hotel would take care of it. So we came back to someone different at the front desk and she said you would take care of it. Hoping that we don't get charged by the rental car company for an unpaid ticket.
very charming place, nice friendly staff, nicely decorated, right in the heart of town
the same problem everywhere these days, bums and lost souls wandering in the streets.
Beautiful interior. Amazingly attentive and friendly staff. Super clean and comfortable with amazing beds.
Only disappointments were that the water pressure is very poor, the tv is difficult to work, and strangely there were no paper products in the room. No napkins, no facial tissues, no paper towels. There was toilet paper, but why no other products? Struck us as odd considering the room rates.
Lovely place to stay and explore Knoxville walking. Staff was great and the room was very nice. Would recommend.
Easy to check in, lovely atmosphere, room was beautiful. Bed was comfortable, we liked the dessert that was given at night. Walkable to Market Square, the restaurant with the hotel, Lilou, was also beautiful and had very nice staff. It was French theme and was well designed.
Staff was polite but a little short, nothing to be offended by but felt like asking questions was a bother. The breakfast in the morning was somewhat confusing, when I booked there was so mention of a breakfast (or I missed it) so when we were told about it, it was a pleasant surprise. We were told it would be available from 7 to 9:30 am I believe. It was not ready at 7, so we came out around 7:30 and there was some food and beverages but it didn't look complete. There was bread and butter, a couple pastries and some orange juice, oddly no coffee. I do wish labels were brought out.
The room was nice
Instructions were not made clear regarding where breakfast was served. Missed out. No hair dryer in the room, had to ask twice to get one. No coffee in the room only tea. Found two sharp pieces of clear plastic on the floor by stepping on them barefoot, clearly left there by the previous occupant and not found by the cleaning staff.
The property was very nice, and upscale while being inviting. The staff were so helpful, nice and accommodating. The bed was SUPER COMFORTABLE, literally the most comfortable hotel bed I’ve ever slept in and I have back issues, but I had no pain in their bed.
How far the parking structure was away, it wouldn’t have been a bad walk if there wasn’t snow and ice on the side walks. But you could valet park for 35$ which was worth it to not walk a distance in the snow and ice.
Absolutely gorgeous.
They don’t clean your room - was there Thursday - Sunday!
Great location. Beautiful hotel will be going back soon
Every. Single. Detail. *chefs kiss *
The parking situation is a little tricky ( keep in mind I’m coming from a small town so city parking in general is confusing to me lol - 98% of our buildings have parking lots ) definitely not the hotels fault though.
Absolutely beautiful hotel. The classic French decor was perfect!
The property was very clean and conveniently located.
Nothing. The property was fantastic.
Such a gorgeous new property! We will definitely return.
