River Heights Motel

Pros +

• For an old hotel, it was pretty well-maintained. They also cleaned the room and made the bed while I was out, which is a rarity in today's hotels.
• The room was somewhat dated but very clean and comfortable. Everything worked as it should and there was plenty of outlets to charge phone, tablet, etc. Good selection of channels on TV
• Although this is an older motel, it is very well maintained. The room was comfortable and exceptionably clean. There was a good selection of channels on the flat screen TV. The heating/ac unit worked well and was quiet. Microwave & refrigerator in room.

Cons -

• The room was small, and the bathroom was even smaller. Alas, that's typical of older motels, as was the shortage of electrical outlets. They made up for it by installing power strips on the walls, but they weren't where I needed them.
• No morning coffee in room or lobby. Nearest place to get coffee in early morning was over two miles away.
• Bed was awful. But, at this price point, location and cleanliness are most important.
