Staff super friendly and accommodating. Excellent complimentary breakfast bar available every day. Nice gym facilities onsite. Nice location in West Ashley; shopping.amd dining options nearby. Bus stop to downtown Charleston nearby. In-room kitchen is great to have. Loved the roll-out desk.

I booked a reservation with TownPlace Suites by Marriot in Charleston, SC for one night’s stay on June 14, 2025-June 15, 2025. Upon arrival, there was a power outage as an old tree had fallen onto the property during a terrible storm. I had to use a friend’s hotel room to get dressed for a wedding, which I was, of course, late to because of scrambling for last minute accommodations. I was unable to be checked in until after midnight. The bathroom had not been thoroughly cleaned but by that time I was too exhausted to complain. I asked the front desk of the hotel was it possible to be compensated/refunded for my stay due to the major inconvenience and they advised me that I needed to contact Booking.com. I contacted Booking.com on June 15, 2025 and was told by Booking.com that the hotel manager was not on site and to give booking 48 hours to resolve the matter. To date (6/18/25), the manager has still not replied to booking.com Also, after SEVERAL calls to Booking.com, I keep being placed on hold, for sometimes as long as an hour and thirty minutes only either have no representative return to the call or the excuse that they are still trying to contact the property.

The location was great. Easy to get to everything and plenty of parking. However, the room was not good. The doors to all the rooms are white paint and they have dirt showing on them. So right off the bat it doesn’t seem super clean. The carpet in our room was torn and ripping up. Weird stains on walls and lots of rusting. The linens were clean though. I did ask about when the rooms would be cleaned and they said every other day. So the day it was due to clean, we returned around 3 pm and our room had not been touched. When I called they said their next person would do it when they arrived at 4. Came back at 9:30 pm and still a pile of dirty towels, no clean replacements. Had to call again for that. I will say though the front desk staff was very pleasant and friendly about it, but there seems to be a disconnect with it getting done. Overall, not a terrible stay but wouldn’t be back. As for breakfast, very standard no complaints there at all. Again, pleasant staff. Was always greeted and they were very nice.

Absolutely everything. The efficiency and friendliness at the reception. The cleanliness, the super white bedding, the size of the bathroom. The room had such an amazing, clean feel. Breakfast was good, too. The lady who serviced the breakfast area did a great job by making sure all was good. Those jalapeño muffins were something different and super delicious. The best hotel in Charleston that I've been to so far. I will definitely stay here again.

We had room 414, 4th floor. The lightning of the section of the kitchen was disappointing, as it was not working. Someone was sent to our room, but the problem was not solved because of the one or other reason. Missed the pancakes at breakfast though. No other complaints.

It was a great location, easy access from the freeway, and great surroundings. The room was quiet and very comfortable. I enjoyed the accessories to help my stay be more comfortable. The studio suites had a nice size fridge freezer and even a dishwasher. I loved the closet space and storage. The rooms were very clean and the staff at breakfast went out of their way to make sure we were well fed. Most of all the staff at the desk we’re pleasant and helpful. I would stay here again.

Location was great. Easy to get in and out of the parking lot. The staff was friendly, beds comfortable and breakfast good.
