Howard Johnson by Wyndham Middletown Newport Area

I was pleasantly surprised with this hotel. My previous experiences at Howard Johnson's were average. This Howard Johnson by Wyndham was better than expected for a 2 star hotel! The staff was extremely pleasant and attentive, the rooms were clean

Renovated. Cleanliness. Nice staff. Very helpful.

We were traveling with our dog... they have a wonderful dog-walk area with trails right next to the building where we stayed.

The breakfast was ok, but we opted for the donut shop across the street on day 2.

Free breakfast does not have enough options for a diabetic. Also would love to see ice coffee offered!

It wasn?t like any Howard Johnson?s hotel we?ve ever seen. We liked everything! It was clean, modern, nicely renovated, with a friendly helpful staff.

There was one minor thing we can?t remember now. So it must not have been important.

This hotel is great! The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The hotel is newly remodeled, clean and cozy. They offer complimentary breakfast which is hot and delicious. There is tea and coffee as well. Also has laundry, a pool and a hot tub!

Price was good. Glad hotel allowed dogs.

Cooked breakfast was not good, egg thing and turkey sausage was cold and just not good.

Disappointed with size of king bed room. Small, not carpeted.

Hotel staff members were all friendly and helpful. Hotel was immaculate both in common areas and rooms. Nice accommodations. Great location. A short walk to a good plant based restaurant, a supermarket, 2 pharmacies.

Beds were comfortable and hotel room was quiet. Pool area was clean.

Bathroom wall had something stuck on the wall and looked unclean.

The room was very nicely decorated.

Complete surprise that there was NO ELEVATOR!!! We had to lug our luggage up the stairs to our room!! This was NEVER even mentioned by the front desk when we checked in. Continental breakfast was very skimpy.
