Pros +
- The different room choices, the space of the rooms, the location, the cleanliness, very quiet.
- The location was perfect fro us as we were close enough to upenn and close enough to center city.
- The view was good and the suite had functioning appliances in great condition.
Cons -
- The shower coat did not close all the way in one of the bathrooms in our room. Perhaps another couch or something else to sit on in the living room area would be nice. Otherwise fine.
- The elevator was not functioning properly throughout our entire stay. I was stuck several times going up and down many times, not being able to get to my floor. I went through many key cards and they would work occasionally.
- The desk service was lacking in some experience and ability to resolve issues. The room furniture, i.e. couches were uncomfortable and not really clean. Some things were not fully operational- the shower door wouldnâ≢t remain closed, nor would the closet

Close to University of Penn. The city view is amazing!
The valet service. When I received my car, everything in the back was spread all over in a mess (driving too fast and curves?). They changed my seat, my steering wheel and radio station.

The entire setup is so fantastic. A touch of modern living with the views to match. Itâ≢s like staying in a luxury condo. I would highly recommend it.
No. Loved it all.
I was there for an outpatient procedure at the University of Pennsylvania, but wanted to stay an extra day in case of complications as I live two hours away. It's a good thing I did. I wound up in the emergency room and admitted to the hospital for five nights, and the incredible reception staff, and Chauncey in particular, went above and beyond to help keep my husband in the same unit each night as my medical situation unfolded. I did have one night in the beautiful unit we were upgraded to at first check and I was grateful to be in that comfortable space in my postsurgical discomfort and worry.
Location and facilities
House-keeping and cleaning policies. Should be more frequent. Communication with reception is difficult without a phone in the room.
It has. A mini kitchen and a toaster it was perfect since we had to leave early in the morning for UPenn camp. And their body soap and shampoo were so nice!
Nice apartment with views of the city, gym, laundry and close to train station. Comfortable bed. Good free coffee!
Location is the only Brightside, walking distance to Penn and restaurants.
Horrible service, incompetent and rude front desk. During the check in, the front desk person (named Ounn) first gave us a studio although I booked a premier one bedroom. After the key failed opening the door, she changed the room with another dysfunctional key. We finally got into the third room after two failed rooms. During multiple running up and down with luggage, no apologies from Ounn, no helps from any other staff. The room was on the 35th floor, but we could still hear noise clearly from street and railway in the mid of the night. The blinds didn't cover windows completely so the room was bright in the early morning. Bed was another nightmare, squeaking with every move (I am 95 lb). The air mattress for my son deflated in the morning either due to the low quality or the guy setting up the mattress forgetting the valve. Given the terrible experience from the first night, we shortened the trip and checked out earlier, planned to stay for two nights though. Fortunately, after all the unfortunates, hotel refunded the advanced payment for the second night.
The location
House keeping once per week . No telephones in the room , rude staff
Great views of city skyline. Wonderful gym and indoor pool. Nice terrace…but the weather did not cooperate
Furnishings were sparse and minimalistic
Our accommodation was very spacious with all the essential amenities. The gym is well equipped and spacious, with a good view. There is also a business lounge, which is ideal, although we didn't use it.
A chain is as strong as its weakest link. While checking in, Quinn, who was on duty, was totally unempathetic. There was no one at the desk when we arrived. Quinn arrived 10 min later, and didn't even greet us or say sorry for making us wait. That's not even the worst part...our keycard didn't work, so we went to the lobby to get it fixed. Guess what, it didn't work the second time either. After going back to the lobby the third time, she assigned us another room, saying there might be some issue with the lock. Again, no sorry from her. All this happened around 10 pm, when we were tired after a long drive. Possibly one of the worst "hospitality" employee I have ever come across in my 25 years of traveling (45 countries, 250+ hotels). I'd say she is in the top 3 worst ever.
Our room was a very spacious suite with a gret view very closxe to a music venue we were attending.
The room was not very clean, and the floors had scratches on them. Carpet was very worn.
Location, room
Lack of front desk in AM .. waiting over 10min to check out.
Everything went well. The view at night was beyond belief. It is close to our home.SEPTA is Free for people aged 65 and above. The small kitchen allowed us to save a lot of money. We cooked our own food, allowing us to eat an expensive meal at a restaurant only twice during our stay at AKA.
The weather was lousy, which wasn't AKA's fault.
Location and space
I got there and had a supposed $20 credit for bar that closed at 10. I went to the bar at 9:40 and bartender said it was closed. Thursday 2/13.
My stay was amazing as per always. This was my first experience with the philly location and the only feedback I have was the lack of hot water.. I had to boil water in the provided pots in order to take a comfortable bath and the the body wash container was empty. I loved my stay however. Location is great, staff was frie day and responsive.
