It was extremely clean and quiet

The room temperature was very hot and could not be controlled

I feel like I caught this place in their shoulder season or something because the room was larger than expected for the price. Must have been some kind of historic estate - rooms were in small buildings, interesting layout.

I read a comment online about the carpet being tired - and if you looked, it kinda of was - but it wasn¿t that bad. The floor was the last thing I paid attention to.

It's a really great historical place. The history of the place dates back to the 1700s. It's close to many restaurants, but the food there is great! The people are nice. What's not to love? I definitely want to stay there again!

We enjoyed the property, the room was comfortable, clean, and quiet.

We found the staff to be a little brusque. The staff did not really greet or explain anything to us, and none of the staff wore masks despite COVID. The most polite person was the housekeeper we passed in the hallway.

Shower - shower head leaked, sprayed into ceiling, wall and bathroom. Too much light - need night shades.

it's a very old hotel and the mustiness verified that. The king size bed was very uncomfortable

I loved that it was on a small estate. I felt that I was far away from the city. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

Poor water pressure, could not control room temp, breakfast to go low quality.

Breakfast is supposed to be available at 6:30 a.m. A few items were out at 6:30, however the main items were not out until 6:55. I had a tight schedule that morning (Mon. Oct. 7) and did not expect or appreciate the delay.

The second room that we stayed in was beautiful and quiet. Breakfast was very good and the waitress was very attentive. There is a walking/running path next to the inn which is easily accessible and safe.

The first room we stayed in was way too hot- we had to change to a different room. There didn't seem to have a good way to regulate the temperature in the main house.

The grounds were peaceful and beautiful

A wedding party was staying in the Thomas Wilson building with us and came in at 1230 standing in the hall calling out for other people, talking with each other for an hour and going in and out of rooms. Separate wedding party's from the other guests.

Beautiful unique setting.. great dining.. well appointed rooms..

Loved the restaraunt, pub and outdoor areas although we did get to use them much. Also liked the preservation of the older buildings and open space.

The room was small, especially the bathroom. It was a great venue for a wedding but not as much for a guest who is not part of it. Noise carries in the older building and people are louder when they feel it's just them there at 2:00AM after the reception.
