I TRULY appreciated the availability of low sugar, high protein yogurt because most breakfast bars are not very diabetic friendly (I am allergic to eggs).
We are loyal customers at Holiday Inn Express hotels. Location convenient to shopping and the university which we came to see.

Top Tips
- Book 4 to 8 weeks ahead for major Indiana University of Pennsylvania events such as move-in, commencement, or homecoming, as most hotel rooms in Indiana, PA fill within 30 days and rates can increase by 20 to 40%. Set hotel rate alerts to catch cancellations at top chains like Hilton Garden Inn or Hampton Inn. Loyalty members may see limited perks during event periods, so confirm available offers when booking.
- Secure an Indiana University of Pennsylvania visitor parking permit online before any event; campus lots require permits and visitor spaces fill quickly during games or ceremonies. For accessible parking needs, request a designated permit in advance. Many hotels offer campus drop-off; verify shuttle times and wait periods for peak dates with your property.
- When booking, request a room facing away from U.S. 119/422 or the main road to reduce highway and truck noise, common at Indiana, PA hotels. Opt for high-floor courtyard rooms, and ask if blackout curtains or in-room white noise machines are available for restful sleep. Always confirm specific room features at booking.
- For work or streaming, confirm hotel Wi-Fi speeds by asking for the latest speed test and look for at least 25 Mbps download. Some chains may offer premium connections for a fee, so ask at check-in. If reliable speeds are not guaranteed, consider public libraries or coworking spaces in Indiana, PA, which often support VPN use.
- From November to March, add 30 to 60 minutes to your travel time to Indiana, PA to account for snow or icy roads between I-70 and I-80. If driving, confirm your hotel’s snow-parking policy, as chains often require guests to move vehicles for plowing, including accessible spaces. Ask about 24-hour snow management or mobility assistance if needed.
- For short campus visits, confirm early check-in and late checkout fees in advance, as rates and availability can vary by chain. Ask if the hotel offers secure lobby luggage storage using claim tickets; many also allow access to restrooms or business centers while you wait for your room.
