The staff were jerks. Nice until the first bit of any resistance. I had stayed there a number of times. Never was charged a $35 cat feel or demanded to pay $200 deposit. When asked for a refund so I could choose a more friendlier environment I was refused

I liked the fact of my rooms location. Had a pool side room, and was close to where my vehicle was parked. I also enjoyed the breakfast. I was shocked by the ratings for this hotel. If you want a Hilton then go one. I would definitely stay again.

Top Tips
- Book hotels 2-3 months ahead for the Chambersburg Apples & Arts Festival in September to avoid price increases up to 35%. Many top chains in Chambersburg fill quickly due to limited capacity during major local events, so reserve early for the best selection.
- Plan for an additional 11-12% in combined state and local taxes on your hotel bill in Chambersburg. Pennsylvania law requires this charge, so check your total cost before confirming your reservation.
- Consider booking hotels 2-3 miles outside downtown Chambersburg to save 20-30% on nightly rates. These properties often offer ample parking and quick access to I-81, making local exploration simple.
- If you need reliable internet for video calls or remote work, verify your hotel’s typical Wi-Fi speed. Most Chambersburg hotels average 10-15 Mbps, which may not suit heavy streaming or large uploads.
- Hotels west of Route 30 (Lincoln Way West) typically feature rates 20-35% lower than downtown, with 30% fewer truck noise complaints. Request a quiet room if you are a light sleeper.
- During winter (December to February), Chambersburg averages 20-30 inches of snowfall. Request ground-floor or heated rooms to ensure accessible entry and added comfort, especially for guests with mobility needs.
- Chambersburg’s central location makes it a value base for visiting Civil War sites or Hagerstown, with most drives under 60 minutes. Ask the front desk for local driving conditions or maps.
- Check if your hotel offers free self-parking. Most suburban properties do, but some downtown B&Bs may charge or require permits. Confirm parking details before arrival to avoid extra fees.
- Decline Dynamic Currency Conversion (DCC) when paying at hotels or ATMs, and opt for USD billing to avoid 3-5% in hidden currency fees. If the payment terminal offers a choice, select 'USD' for your transaction.
- Use Chambersburg Transit (CT) for local rides at a $2 flat fee per trip, much lower than the $15 to $22 range for Uber to Hagerstown. Review schedules online, as service hours can vary by day.
