Cons -

Advertised as a nonsmoking room, we were given a very stinky smoking room. The fire alarm had been removed from the ceiling.
Just the mattresses were wore out badly
the room had not been cleaned, linens changed etc. I had checked in mid-day - paid etc - and returned at 10pm for bed. most fortunately the teenager was there (owners off for the evening) so she could give me sheets/towels and take the old stuff away.
