    Pros +

    • The location and staff were great.
    • Sufficient parking.
    • It was not far from where I needed to be and it was the cheapest I could find

    Cons -

    • No air-conditioning and dated.
    • Plenty. The couch in the room was absolutely disgusting. Dirty, stained and frayed. We would not even place a bag on it. It seems like there was probably a good amount of mold growing under the linoleum in the bathroom as well. I would not stay again.
    • The single-pane windows let a lot of street noise through

It is a cute little hotel, close to Old Town. Staff is nice, they have complimentary homemade biscuits for breakfast.

The floors were very dirty. I am not sure when the last time the carpet was vacuumed and the walls & mouldings cleaned.

It was like coming home and finding everything ready for you. The gentleman at the front desk was welcoming and helpful. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting from jigsaw puzzles to a giant checkers game. It was like stepping back into a more peaceful pace

Great location next to Bay Street. Friendly staff.

The floors could have been cleaner.

Close to the casino.Got to park in front of the room. Glad it had its own tv. I saw where a tv was shared in an area which I wouldnt have liked.

There was an area to put makeup om bur didnt have a mirror to see.

Its location off of 101 and near restaurants & the river. We's stayed several times and do appreciate the old character of the place. You can see some level of love going into the place.

The facility is tired. The rooms aren't super clean. I think the owner/ manager is trying to show the place some love, but the cost of staying is rising more quickly than the incrementally slow improvements and probably not enough to keep us coming back.

    Walking distance to shops restaurants

The showerhead was about chest high and very uncomfortable for a average height person

Very friendly staff. Vintage rooms. My kids absolutely loved the pet birds they had.

    The location was great.

The rooms were dirty. Shower floor covered with dust And sand. Floors were sandy. Peeling paint. Holes in the ceiling, mismatched curtains on the sliding door. Very old and poorly kept

Walking distance Location to local shops and restaurants was great.

Expected a double queen room but mistakenly reserved a single bed room. Hotel could not upgrade so our daughter slept on the floor.Carpet had not been vacuumed thoroughly and bathroom wastebasket was full on check-in. No coffee or breakfast.

    1Verified Hotel GuestPosted on: 5-25-2021

The mattress was old and browning. The tiles in the bathroom shower had old soap and mildew spots from lack of cleaning. Hallways all over hotel had stacks of storage totes and blankets like it was a residential space and not a hotel. Paid a --- bucks¿¿

When we arrived the hotel clerk asked a friend who did not work there to go and clean our room for us. In front of us. The curtains on the window were transparent and the sheets were dirty and hair covered. The room smelled horrible.

Really nice vibe- looks like it's family owned, they put allot of effort into the rooms. If you don't mind older buildings showing their age(thin walls, ancient heater, ect..) & care most about budget + walkability it's perfect.

Covid-19 precautions were the lowest I've seen (multiple folks w/o mask in lobby, front desk person only put on mask when I showed up masked). Mattress was meh, heater a bit sketch but worked fine. Folks upstairs were loud(not the hotels fault).

The water in the shower is not warm, the worse experience I ever had, the room is cold, the is not comfortable and make squeaky sound every time I move.

Location and hotel staff is good

    4Verified Hotel GuestPosted on: 9-30-2020

The location is perfect for restaurants and shops in "Old Town" section. All walking distance. Marina just 2 blocks away for us to launch our boat and park.

A lot of things. Old and in need of repairs. Squeaky floor above...guest above walked back and forth all night, slept in car 2nd night. Floor very dirty,2 light bulbs out, noisy loud neighbors outside our door....and more.

    4WilliamPosted on: 9-6-2020

    Older building. Close to food

Shower only. Shower head set at like 5'5" and I'm 6'3"

Walkability of Florence from here. Staff was very kind. Size of the room was huge!

The linens were dirty/stained. The room had access to odd attic/crawl spaces making it not feel very secure. The carpet was heavily stained/soiled. We glanced at the kitchen area and based on how dirty it looked we didn’t eat breakfast here.

    10BryanPosted on: 6-25-2020

Super charming place. Loved the checker table, the birds, the awesome oldies music playing in the morning, the homemade breakfast, and the little girl helping out!

    Nope!

    4KarreenPosted on: 3-6-2020

The front desk staff that checked us into our room was very friendly and accommodating. With a few corrections this could be an outstanding place. It is nice to be able to access Old Town Florence by foot.

While I love the vintage charm, i was disappointed about how dirty the bathroom floor was. The breakfast has potential to be amazing, but the kitchen and dining room were very dirty and the staff did not wash hands before touching food.
