Price, Location, Quaintness & staff was great. I stayed in room 103 in November and liked that room much better than 109. 103 was away from the wooden stairs and the office chair fit the table well (unlike in 109--see below).
That it's quaint, not on a busy circuit, quiet out of the way and very nice ladies working there.
The lady who checked us in was very sweet!

Cons -

Saw a cockroach in the room. I slept with the lights on to discourage them from coming out of hiding. The office chair in 109 was too short for the table. Being on the end, people clumping up and down the nearby wooden stairs interfered with my sleep.

It was not what I expected. It looks like they are making some improvements. New bedding, sink, toilet, countertops. But improvements wonÂ¿t make up for a dirty room (example-French fries in middle of the floor and the rest of the carpet looked dirty.)

Very clean, comfortable and staff quite hospitable! Arrived a few minutes before 10p and greeted with a smile. Next morning coffee in the lobby and chatted with "grandma." Exceptional lady.
