Hampton Inn & Suites Altus

The only thing good about this hotel was its location

I booked this hotel and paid $60 a night extra because it said it had a pool and a hot tub. Neither one of them worked. The shower had mold in it and the entire place just seemed like it’s ready for a downgrade and the signs to be switched to Motel 6.

Convenient location

The bathroom had a lot of black mold surrounding the bathtub, the toilet seat was stained yellow and peeling, the curtains were ripped, the lamp shade was broken, the dust ruffle had stains, the duvet had a dead roach on it.

The location was good

The room had a bad smell coming from the bathroom. I asked maintenance to come in 2x and they never did. I had to spray air freshener in the room. The room was full of crickets and ant liners and my friends across the hall had a lizard in theirs.

Bathtub would not drain. The refrigerator door would not close. There were crickets everywhere in the room. The bath towels were very rough. The beds were very uncomfortable they were hard mattresses. The closet was tiny.

Convenient for the purpose why we were there. Breakfast and sitting ares were nice.

The sound absorption was terrible. Could here doors shutting and people talking outside our rooms.

The tv was glitching, bed had stains, the wall and furniture was scratched and torn. Definitely not worth $-- a night. Ridiculous.

Wall paper was peeling off the bathroom wall and the shower had mildew all around the base. Refrigerator didn't have a freezer, pool and spa was closed which was not mentioned on the web site. No eggs on the breakfast buffet just omelets. 2 star at best

The breakfast was very good and the staff was great.

It was about 101 degrees outside & inside no power. Guess they don¿t have a backup generator (strange). They also didn¿t have any flashlights to help find your room. The lady at the front desk was very nice & did a fantastic job under the circumstances.

No soap, shampoo, TV cable worked 20 % of the time, asked staff and was told it had has been like that for awhile. Pool, hot tub not operational, also been out for a long time. Will not stay there again. Plus only bag breakfast.

Other guests very noisy. Staff did take care of it quickly. Tub did not drain well.

Great location, very good free breakfasts with good variety of options, clean and comfortable room, comfortable and inviting great room for eating breakfast, relaxing or planning day's activities, very friendly and informative staff.

There was nothing we did not like.

Breakfast. All the paint chips and dirt in the pool and hot tub.

Great comfortable room (except the pillows) and great breakfast. Best breakfast I've had at a hotel. I'm from altus and that hotel is the best one there!

Clean, friendly staff, good hot breakfast, good location

Room window opened onto vestibule that the cars drive under at the front door. Our view was a large stucco wall and a dead bird on platform between the vestibule and the building. That was not good, surprised that there would even be a room like that.

It was close to Western Oklahoma State College.

It was outdated.
