Location, style

Sound system was a bit confusing

The pool is divine, and the service is impeccable. We loved our stay!

Room was not ready at check-in time.

We checked in, looked at our room and decided to leave. The hotel simply does not live up to its reputation.

Dark and cold vibe, small room with very small bathroom, sink that did not drain properly. Kind of a glorified Marriott vibe.

The understated elegance. Lighting. Decor. No charge for the snacks. Toiletries. Towels. Drinks.

Pillows (too flat) , tv (remote didn’t work), clock radio (couldn’t get blue tooth to work, alarm kept going on), toilet (didn’t flush completely). Sitting chair (small uncomfortable)

Now our favourite nyc hotel. One can tell that De Niro put part of himself into this exceptional hotel. Each room is different, the lounges feel like you are at home and the food and warm service were excellent

Restaurant books up quickly and reservations should be made well in advance

Quiet , friendly and discreet .

It is very expensive for a Hotel which doesn’t have the wow factor . It’s more of a living room experience downstairs , cosy but not wow .The rooms are comfortable but the bed itself is just ok , other 5 star Hotels in the city have better .The spa.. which we had high expectations of has no jacuzzi , the steam room wasn’t working in the men’s that day and the gym is fully equipped but smaller than it looks in pictures . We have stayed in high end hotels all over the city and although the staff are lovely , it’s a notch below some of the others for the cost .

Ambience, very friendly staff, food, service, speed of service. Bed comfort. location. Great shower. Great amenities in the room.

Besides the bed, the other furniture is kind of tired, not comfortable. Hard for two to do room service- guess I need a bigger room. Sink was made for someone about 4’10”, not 6’2”.

It’s a little pricey

The check in process was poor we had no information given to us on the property or our room. It was only on checking out and over hearing others talking, we found out things that would have been very useful to know and would have enhanced our experience.The spa is lovely, but......on the first trip the showers were so hot it was dangerous and could not be used. I informed the staff who had already been informed by several other guests, apparently an engineer had been called. Two days later and the exact same thing happened, it turns out they didn't call an engineer and no one could use the showers safely. I informed them again and they said they would put an out of order sign on until the engineer arrived - they didn't. I was brushed off with an insincere apology and no acknowledgement whatsoever that it had impacted my whole experience twice, its a bit late when you have a head full of shampoo to realise the shower has got so hot you can't stand under it and the gauge doesn't work! The front desk except for the senior guy checking us out at the end were over all poor and sadly slightly rude at times. The level of service was not the standard I expect when I am paying over $1000 dollars a night. I have stayed on Manhattan countless times, and some of the cheaper end hotels have had better room sizes, better front of house and overall better care of their guests.

Loved to decor. The staff was very attentive and helpful. Food was amazing.

Hotel was very put together can not think of a thing.

Everything but particularly the courtyard and drawing room reserved for guests , and the lovely pool.

Attention to detail. Simple, elegant design.

Felt the pool could be a bit warmer since it isn’t really a lap pool.

The hotel is still an amazing cocoon to stay.

it's currently having a new way of development and if the warm hospitality could come back it could be great, because I was use to say that we feel home at The Greenwich but not anymore and if this charm disappears it's a shame.

the deco was amazing! and they had details like filling up every day a basket with snacks for free which we found to be a very nice treat ☺️
