Hotel St. James

3/4 block from Times Square

It was wonderful. Don?t expect large rooms when in mid Manhattan but these were good size as I have been in much smaller and paint more.

I loved the ease of checking in, I loved the attentive staff.

Prices could have been just a little bit lower for someone staying multiple nights.

The location is excellent. Very close to Times Square but not right on the main street so noise is minimal. Front desk staff was professional and helpful. Despite not being a 'big name' hotel it felt safe and comfortable.

It's an older building that could use some freshening up. My room was clean and the bed was comfy but everything was very 'economy'. Scratchy towels, cheap amenities, slightly broken bedside lamp etc.

Hotel St James is close to Times Square and was convenient for our stay over new years eve. It's an older hotel though the room was clean with a hot shower and served our needs.

The bed required a new mattress. The springs were making noises and was not the most comfortable to sleep on. A little bar fridge and coffee making facilities would also be nice for guests in the future.

Perfect location right next to times square, clean facilities and friendly staff.

The bed was super comfortable and loved the location. It was close to subways and walking distance to most things we wanted to do on our trip.

We wish the room would have a mini fridge to keep drinks in for when we were in the room, but we were close enough that we could walk to walgreens and grab drinks, they just were hot.

One of the best locations in the city and the staff was especially friendly!

No breakfast options however it is within walking distance of many great places to grab some

Great location and friendly staff. Deli directly next store was cheap and yummy. Great breakfast option.

The fabuloso smell. This is the case with so many hotels now. The cleaning product smell was so strong it made both my husband and myself ill (headache and breathing troubles). I’m not even that sensitive to smells. Fabuloso should be banned.

Location was great, and I love how it shows the history of the place.

It was way too expensive (then again NYC), the beds were hard as rocks, and some of the guests were being loud.

Reasonable, good location, and clean room

Heater does not work enough to warm the room. There are lots of dust in the room.

The location of this hotel is excellent, steps to Time Square and all attractions.

Location was great. Stream radiator heat was so roast warm. Nice tub to soak after a long day. Staff very professional and friendly. Great sheets

Room was a little drafty and had a very old aircon/heating unit. Bed was small.

The location is amazing.

There is nothing extra in this hotel. There is no coffee maker, barely you get sheets and towels. There is NO frills. It was not a even a cheap rate per night. I understand It is expensive to stay in NYC, but at least some little details would go a long way when it comes to comfortability of the guests.
