Hotel 50 Bowery, A Joie De Vivre Hotel

Shower had black mold on the ceiling, they checked us out mid stay and didnt clean our room for our last day.

Room was a nice size, view was fantastic, staff was very helpful. The Crown bar at the top has raggedy, furniture, and it's finishes are worn. The best part is the rooftop and the view.

Clean and well maintained, with relatively spacious rooms for NYC. Great location for exploring Chinatown and LES.

Hotel 50 Bowery is a very nice place to stay. The view of the Manhattan Bridge is amazing. Location is great for walking to Little Italy, China Town, and financial district. We even walked across both the Manhattan Bridge and Brooklyn Bridge

Hotel room was very large by nyc standards and views were amazing. I appreciated the robe and plentiful hangers in the armoire. Would stay here again.

The neighborhood is definitely scruffy and dirty and I prefer to be in Soho or Novo. That said if you can get past the grittiness if the area I highly recommend this hotel.

Staff was friendly. Hotel was spotless. The coupons for $5 off coffee at nice shop next door were a nice touch.

Not a 4.5 star. We have stayed at the Maritime in Chelsea several time - another 4.5 star. Maritime had lovely toiletries, a gorgeous lobby, a mini bar, and pastries in the morning. This hotel also a bit far from everything. This is 3.5 or 4 at best.

No bathtub

Friendly staff, clean room, and great location. There¿s complimentary coffee and a convenient restaurant tucked on the second floor for breakfast and a rooftop bar. I¿d stay here again.

Loved area in Chinatown

Didn't let us know to scan room card in elevator. Didn't know we would be charged extra for amenities usage (i.e. fitness room).

The location was perfect.

Music was loud in the rooftop lounge where it was impossible to converse.

Desk chair in room was too tall for average size person and uncomfortable. The chairs in the 2nd floor lounge were great. They should replace desk chairs.

Guest services was able to get us into our room early! Much needed after a red eye flight. The view from the rooftop is stunning. Room was very comfortable for New York standards.

Great staff, great roof top bar, great location

The housekeeping missed cleaning the bathroom wall, prior to our stat. Spotted all over with what looked like blood or dark make-up.

They were giving away free bottled water and the next day they were charging for bottled water. The showers were a little confusing to turn on and makes it complicated to get the right temperature

Staff was great. Valet parking was with it and the rooftop view although cold.

The decor, location and the beds! It was a beautiful hotel and the staff were great! Beautiful view as well if the Manhattan bridge.
