    • Location is excellent and the staff are amazing, having gone above and beyond on several occasions.
    • Close to penn station

    Cons -

    • The resort fee sucks. Plus, not knowing what it is until checkin was very shady. If this was disclosed at time of booking or eliminated all together, this would have been a flawless experience.
    • Extremely small room with 4 bunk beds.? No breakfast. Does not live up to its 4-star rating.
    • i?ve stayed at this hotel several times, but won?t likely return; haven?t had any issues with early check-in in NYC for nearly a decade but i did here. the staff apathy was frustrating. didn?t feel like i was being heard and considered.

    Location

The room was extremely small. I have never stayed in a tiny hotel room like this ever!

    8LewisPosted on: 2-19-2026

The bed was really comfortable and the room was clean and tidy, the shower was very good aswell

It wasn’t that I didn’t like it however it needs to be updated on booking.com because we had to pay $300 deposit on arrival but it says £72 on booking.com so this was a litttle bit annoying as I hadn’t planned for it

The location is very convenient and the lounge and bar areas were great.

The room is very small, layout is inconvenient, the sink is outside the bathroom and there is no place to put stuff inside the bathroom. Not convenient design for family.

Loved the location. Staff all.helpful and friendly. Nice having a bar and place to grab breakfast (with free coffee!). Room was compact, but had everything we needed.

    Liked everything

    5GiliPosted on: 2-16-2026

    Passable

staff wasn't simply paying attention to non of the customers. No coffee machine at the room. so no way to drink coffe (even if you want to pay) before 7 am

The location was great, room was compact but had everything you needed and was clean. Great amenities, having the $20 a day to spend on the pop up bakery was a great touch.

You could really hear the noise from outside especially late in the evening when people had vacated the roof top bar. I’ve stayed in this location before and didn’t experience the noise as much. Definitely bring earplugs.

The check-in staff was exceptional. The daytime/nighttime vibe of this hotel was awesome. The room was quiet and beds were comfortable. Everything was clean and cozy. The location was so easy to hop on a subway from the airport to arrive in this area. Stores, shoppes, all right there.

Location and staff are very good. Specially the guy Oliber at reception is very helpful.

Room is very small. Eminities are nothing for price.Breakfast is just snacks and couple of fruits.

    8DawnPosted on: 2-10-2026

The location is excellent. Cool vibe.

My room was not cleaned on the 3rd day of my stay. The room was smaller than the ones I had previously at the same price. In this particular room, the stall shower was open and the water spray hit the floors making it dangerous. The open stall's edge was hard to see - no contrast to the floor - and I nearly tripped on it.

    8LynnePosted on: 2-10-2026

Bed and pillows really comfortable. Location excellent, central for most attractions and near subway station. Liked the grab and go breakfast option. Very special rooftop bar overlooking The Empire State. Staff are very friendly in reception area. Sweeties in the foyer in the afternoon are complimentary so a nice touch. Ioved the decor of the hotel and rooms.

Bed pushed against the wall so not ideal as one person had to climb over the other. We were first shown to a ridiculously small room and had to battle to get a more acceptable room. Noise from street but ear plugs helped.

    1BrattonPosted on: 2-10-2026

    Good shower

Breakfast there wasn’t breakfast it was a snack, when we arrived at the rooftop it was 2am they stated they were closing early because it wasn’t much ppl there we were still trying to enjoy ourselves , the rooms are extremely small for the price

    10LeighPosted on: 2-9-2026

The staff was a delight.Always made sure they greeted me and made sure I didn’t need anything and answered all my questions I had about the hotel. The free breakfast was a bonus and the candy bar was cute. The bed was super comfy and it was really close to Times Square, shopping and lots of restaurants.

The blow dryer didn’t work and only one outlet was working at the time but maybe I didn’t know how to use them.

    10AliPosted on: 2-8-2026

The staff makes this place stand out from the others. I felt as if I was leaving my friends when I left. The hotel get a 10 when it comes to “vibe” check. In fact, I am planning a women’s getaway to New York and the Moxy is where I have chosen to stay.

There could be more hooks to hang clothes. Even though it is small they could do better when it comes to efficiency.

    10MarthaPosted on: 2-4-2026

Location was in between Herald and Times Square, so it's not as hectic but within walking distance from both attractions.

The affiliated City Garage Parking was terrible. The attendant was by himself and completely incompetent. We parked in the lot located right next door to the hotel which also provided a diacount.

    10KolbrunPosted on: 2-2-2026

Very friendly staff and clean. The location was great!

    Size of the room.

Brilliant location, friendly helpful staff , clean warm room and a great atmosphere.

Room a touch small but never in for long so not a problem for me.
