Hampton Inn Manhattan-Madison Square Garden Area

Location

I reserved a 2 double bed room. When we got to out room it was a single king size bed. We were only there one night so not a huge deal. The breakfast area was a bit cramped.

Staff

The hotel furniture in the lobby and rooms is old and dirty. Tried reading in the breakfast room in the evening and their was a rat running on the table.

mixed experience w staff - some very positive & some doing the minimum, lobby furniture stained and dirty, too few plugs in room, inattentive/stingy stocking of breakfast bar

Seating in lobby had large tears in multiple places

Breakfast is generally good but the scrambled eggs had water in the pan --very odd

Location & room were both perfect.

Lack of wardrobe space and lack of fresh breakfast options (like vegetables or cold cut etc.)

Only 2 bad things, the employee named Juan and the air conditioning equipment that was old and made a lot of noise

Very good breakfast. Convenient access to subway. Excellent price.

Rooms are a bit cramped.

Location one block to Penn Station and access to Subway?s on several avenues. Also love that breakfast was in the lobby.

Centrally located to Madison Sq Garden, Penn Station & Empire State Building. Very easy to get around town from here with all of the transit options nearby. Room was clean and a good size; had a king bed. The wifi worked well.

A bit dated on the interior of the common areas. TV a bit glitchy at times.

The location is great when traveling out of Penn Station or going to see a show at the Garden

Our sink was broken in half and put back together with putty. It looked awful. We were in room 306. The towels were stained yellow, there was no mini fridge in the room and housekeeping doesn?t even offer service daily.

Proximity to Madison Square Garden is excellent.

It felt somewhat small and cramped, but it is New York City and space is, understandably, at a premium.

The staff was amazing the entire stay. Constantly making sure we were satisfied and anything we needed, the response was swift. the front desk was a sweetheart.

The only ?complaint? I could think of was sleeves for the coffee cups downstairs. Not sure if I overlooked them or they were out but they were definitely needed.

The staff we wonderful, She was very knowledgeable on the city and subways. The breakfast was delicious and I loved the small coffee bar. I would stay at this hotel again. Great location.

The room was clean, just old wallpaper in the bathroom and very tight quarters for four women staying in one room. Not a lot of space. Im guessing that space is normal for New York.

The location and the cleanliness. The staff was excellent as well.

The hotel room was so tight, closet was unbelievably small for two people. Staff won¿t come to clean unless you have to call. The shower curtain was in bad shape and even the window curtains were ripped off. I was very much disappointed .
